I like the arsenal fans keep blaming Emery not to include Ozil in the squad. Ozil is no longer a world class player. He can't be the savior anymore. But arsenal fans seem to think that Ozil can save their season. Shows that they are really desperate.
Difference is that Emery isn't bothered about this season, he'd like to make top four or win the Europa but it isn't his priority and he won't be judged on it.
Unlike Chelsea who hired Sarri to get them into the CL this season Arsenal hired a manager with the brief to rebuild the club, where they are in two or three years time is more important than where they are in May, they know they have a shit situation with players that aren't good enough for them and they are addressing it, it's why they didn't do an Ozil with Ramsey and break the bank to keep him, that kind of money can be spent actually building a squad, offload Ozil's wages alone and they can bring in three or four decent players to replace the rest of the dross they have to get rid of.
Chelsea on the other hand have no plan for the future at all.

Yes the Adidas deal will offset most of the lost revenue. But that just means they'll stand still, without CL their situation won't improve enough compared to the rest of the top 6.

Pretty sure sponsorship will be measured on their win ratio. In other words no Champs League = less £

Agree but I think not keeping Ramsey was a mistake.

My guess for this is so people can watch both the Arsenal & Chelsea games as the latter kicks off at 8.

That's UEFA's batshit reasoning, completely forgetting most people actually have to work for a living and won't finish until 5.30-6pm. It's getting ridiculous all of these TV scheduling bollocks, matchday going fans aren't considered anymore.

Yeah this isn't new, they just want to make sure that people can watch as many games as possible, they wont think about those at work.
