The chances are about the same all right.
I haven't seen it brought up anywhere, so I doubt it. The referee didn't even give it a foul, let alone a card. Disgraceful. Not even a tackle going for the ball, straight up dangerous potentially injury causing challenge.
It's exactly in the cases where it isn't mentioned in the referee's report that action can be taken. It was a straight red all day long, shocking challenge.
He also got away without a card for a pull back on Eriksen(?)'s arm shortly after. Definitely should have gone several times over, yet didn't.
The rules state ours was a penalty though, offside or not.
I would agree with all of that, even though I know the rules say that you can argue our penalty was the right call.
I would still have been fuming if that had been given against us, tbh. I can't get on board with the rule being what it is.
Regardless of whether you can get on board with it or not, that is the rule. It worked in our favor, and honestly Mustafi was pushing Kane into an offside position to catch him out. Karma.
This. I think the rule is pretty shit in situations like these and others, but that's another discussion.
