I've tried to come up with a good explanation to why were doing so badly. The only good reason I can come up with for playing soooo darn bad..is.....you guessed it..matchfixing. Ive heard that its quite common in the eastern european leagues and we have just bought 3 of them (Mod, Cor and Pav).. Would explain the match tactics and substitutes, not to mention Mod and Pavs bad bad form after the EC...

How much would 2 points after 6 games collect if u betted on it before the season??

And after 2 losses, how much would a point at Stamford get you?

OR are we just sooooo darn dumb that we can spend 70 mill pounds and still be rock bottom after 6 games...?

We're crap for a number of reasons, but I doubt a betting-scam is one of them.

HOWEVER

If you want a scam to mull over, then I believe this would be more plausible:

A potential new owner wants to buy the club. He doesn't want to pay the £400million asking price. So he goes to Ramos (and possible his coaching staff) and says "If you take Spurs down to the Championship, I'll pay you a quarter of however much the THFC shares drop by".

So if the value of Spurs went from £400million to £200million because of relegation, Ramos would pocket £50million.

Hell, any future owner might agree for him to stay on as manager as well.

Anyway, let's leave the conspiracy theories to these guys, shall we?
