Your chance to ask Steve Perryman a question!

LAST CHANCE - Questions going off soon. COME ON (shouts in best Delia style!) LETS BE HAVING YOU

I'm planning on adding Steve Perryman to the Legends of the Lane series and as a part of that have arranged for Steve to answer 10 questions put to him by SC'ers.

So, here's your chance to ask one of the real Spurs greats a question. Steve will pick the question he considers the best and the person asking that question will win a card signed by him. (See illustration) [ar][IMG][/ar]

So if you want to ask Steve a question, now is your chance! We'll choose the best 10 and get them sent off to him.

    Please submit your question below.

What's your own personal view on the club's situation, the way we operate and the direction we are taking. How lilly white is the future? Would love to know!

Out of all the players you played alongside, who had the poorest personal hygene? I reckon Tony Galvin may have been a bit of a pikey.

    Defoe or Keane?
  4. Stuyid
What was the best team you played in?
The early 70's Uefa Cup winning side or maybe even the
F.a Cup wins in the early 80's with Ossie, Ricky and Hod

Was your Ford Capri the best car you ever owned?

Do you see it possible to ever reconcile with the rest of the band enough to perform together again? Or do you feel you have moved on? The fans would love to see you out there rockin' to "Don't Stop Believin'" again, even if for a one-off.

Did you know Hoddle tried to take your place in the band?

what is the meaning of life?

Blimey. Poor show this, guys. A chance to speak to someone thats a geniune legend at the club (albeit by proxy) and some shockers here. Mind you, lets see what I come up with before complaining, eh?

    1. What was your proudest moment? Getting the MBE from the Queen? First Cap? Lifting the FA Cup? Something else? How do they compare?

    2. How was making your debut at the age of 17?

    3. Do you think if you were the same player again in the Premier League, your career would have followed a similar path? e.g. given a chance so young, stayed at one club, made so many appearances, etc?

    4. How would you feel if Exeter pulled out Spurs in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup next season?

    5. Having played or managed in most of them, what are the main differences at various levels of football? In challenges faced, players and fans attitudes, etc

    6. What is the future for Exeter? My Dad used to be a season ticket holder and I've seen many a game there. Best of luck for whatever the future holds.

Quite wordy most of those, but a couple might be usable.

Good on yer A&C. Looking forward to this.

I put a question in here yesterday, it seems to have gone into a parallel universe or summat

how english is the premiership? would you be just as proud of a team that is successful, such as winning the title or a couple of cups, with a team that included just one british or northern irish player? more to the point, should there be a cap on foreign players/a minimum number of british and NI players in a squad/on the pitch?

What position did you consider your best? You came through the youth ranks as a midfielder but found yourself ultimately as one of the country's top centre backs. And who was the biggest influence on you as you cemented your position in the team?
  12. GDG
Should Spurs take a mighty risk and move to a bigger stadium, leaving the nostalgia behind, or try to build a golden future within the current constraints of the Lane?
  13. GDG
Tell us everything you know about Cosmic Hotspur.

Steve - I would love to know why pro footballers now seem to be so injury prone. The usual answer is that the game is so much quicker. I am not convinced about this. I remember you playing over 60 games in 1970-1 season (league cup, eufa cup, fa cup & league(42 games) ). Since you were a complete midfield dynamo who never stopped working and was a box to box player how could you maintain such a high standard throughout whilst modern 'superstars' complain if they play more than 1 game a week.

    many thanks

Thanks for the questions thus far. Much better than some of the earlier efforts.

    Keep 'em coming!

If you make up an XI from the Spurs players you played with and those in the current squad - who would make?
