For reasons I can't fathom, some genius at the BBC has decided to make a Twitter chat with that valueless, immoral bundle of **** that used to play centre-half for us before moving on to several smaller clubs.

Anyway, there are - imagine this, dear reader - some Spurs fans using this opportunity to ask potentially awkward and borderline disrespectful questions of him. Shocking, isn't it? Who would have thought it? (apart naturally from the entire English-speaking world)

So, here are some highlights:

@timgrigg76
What is more despicable? What you did to Tottenham or what you did to Portsmouth? #Judas #bbcfootball #asksol

@Tegan_Jovanka
#asksol Can something truly horrible happen to you, please? Like Syphilis?

@Dazza5
#asksol are you sending barrymore a valentines card this year?

@MCMattSally
Why, when a Court condemned your made-up allegations of racism (including against children), did you not apologise? #AskSol

@ebbp
#AskSol do you prefer to have OJ or apple juice with your breakfast of dead babies' souls?

@MAX_THFC
Why are you such a Judas scum prick? #AskSol

@laowsmith
Hey #asksol Campbell, how did you manage to regain the respect of your self, family and friends? Or have you not yet? #bbcfootball

@footballthatall
What's the worst part of being an abhorrent human being? #AskSol

And so on, and etc.

The problem I fear is that, Sol knows exactly what he's doing and this will lure Spurs fans (in particular) to the sort of abuse that he will revel in sending the cops to sort out. If any Spurs fans get arrested over abuse to Sol, you know he'd love it. There's already quite a lot of homophobic abuse aimed his way, none racist that I have seen. But I'm worried this will turn nasty. Idiotic of the BBC to make this happen. The man has absolutely no credibility and the pigshit he comes out with in the media (England fans will come home from Ukraine in coffins, anyone?) means he should never be given any public platform.

So, please don't send him anything that you'll come to regret later.

"Flame-bait".

I think the BBC know exactly what they are doing and this is only going to come back on us big-time:

Red Rag To A Bull.

Still, it helps generate "some drama" for the BBC and media to feed on, and they can wallow like pigs in shit, with glee.

I'll give you an example: It's like next week the BBC ask John Terry to do an 'Agony Uncle' session for people with marriage and relationship problems. We all know how that would turn out. :rolleyes:

The only thing that this will do is make those who bite on the bait look like bitter, racist, homophobic idiots. Might as well start supporting Chelsea to complete the persona.

A terrible idea and we should be above this shit, regardless of what Sol did to us.

If you still can't get over something that happened over 10 years ago then you really need to re-evaluate your life, and possibly stop following football too, as shit like this just happens.

Yeah, that ones me.

Sol reported racist abuse to the police when we played Portsmouth a few years back. The Hampshire police arrested several fans, one of whom was a kid.

It went to trial and the judge ripped into the police for wasting his time as the case was groundless. There was no racist abuse.

The story is told brilliantly by the fans themselves on another spurs forum. I forget which, but it would still be google-able. Highlights the incompetency of the pice involved and the scummy attitude of Sol himself. Who clearly valued playing for portsmouth so much he refused to forego a few thousand pounds of image rights, despite being a millionaire himself, even though it threatened pompey's future. He got his money while the St Johns Ambulance went unpaid.

Amazing how one individual can be such a complete shitprick really.

Found it. Here you go. A story all Spurs fans should be familiar with.

http://www.tottenhamblog.com/2009/09/15/the-law-fought-ian-trow/

Now you've read that, I suggest you enter something along the lines of "Spurs fans Sol Campbell abuse" into a search engine. Just to see how many pages of various print and online media stories you get about Spurs fans being arrested or guilty of some unheard of terror - or called "filthy" (that one came from Harry Redknapp who, most unlike him, spoke forthrightly to the media on a subject he had no understanding of or relation to) before you get to the above truth. Frightening really.
