Some midtable team will wait a few months whilst Brucie enjoys a long tropical holiday and offer him a very attractive contract. Chairmen and jobs for the boys.

He hit a tough Patch, it turned Sour and they’ll appoint a Kraut to take charge. What a Pickle they’re in.

He lasted longer than I expected, his results weren't too bad but his football was mind numbingly boring

I cant believe we sent Onomah there

Good appointment - Brentford play good football and will be interesting to see him at a bigger club with better players.

I can't see this working well.
Terry is in the press saying he wants to be head coach and I recon the first sign of poor form he'll be given the job.
I feel like he'll be like Sherwood- a back-stabbing barsteward and when the time comes he'll 'help'

Huge opportunity for Dean Smith, succeed and he'll almost automatically jump to being one of the elite English managers (not that there are many). He has a rep for playing good football and if he can implement that I think Villa fans will give him time after boring Brucey.

But yeah, shame he's got Terry on his right hand side, clutching a knife behind his back, waiting for the opportunity to strike ... but at least he'll know where he is so his wife should be safe.

Dean Smith looks a good appointment but I share the doubts about John Terry as his assistant.

Smith took his assistant from Walsall to Brentford with him and would probably have preferred them (speculating).

See how long it takes for Terry to start bullying him. Not long I'd imagine.

Just appointed Dean Smith from Brentford, with Terry as his assistant

Mixed feelings about this. I reckon that's potentially a very good appointment but I just don't understand the Terry as assistant thing. He doesn't seem like a managerial type at all to me and it's not even like he's a club legend or anything so why bump him up to the no2 job with no experience at all?

I dunno, Smith was a pretty tough defender from what I recall (Leyton Orient legend!).

I reckon he could 'ave Terry in a fight.
