Atletico Madrid 'interested in signing Emerson Royal from Tottenham'

Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Emerson Royal from Tottenham in the summer transfer window. Royal joined Spurs from Barcelona in July in a £25.8million deal and made 44 appearances in his debut season for the Premier League club.

I rate Royal. Might not be perfect for Contes wing back system but he’s a great athlete, good defensively and was improving massively towards the end of the season.
Others I personally would want to sell before him.

He did improve a lot towards the end of the season, but let's face it, he's not a wing back and that's what Conte wants. Not his fault he was signed to play in a back 4.

Would love Carrasco here. Such a versatile player. He'd offer a solid option anywhere down both flanks. Maybe could sort a deal out that works for us and them.

With proper coaching, I think he can definitely improve on his crosses and deliveries. Would like to see him loan out rather than sold outright.

His attitude impressed me at the end of the season. I think he'll go on to be a good player but he won't get the opportunity here. He'll be a lot easier to sell than Doherty so it makes sense to sell him.
