The place was rocking, the best it's been since Southampton at home. Our two best performances at home and they were brilliant atmospheres. The twelfth man definitely helps, every single player was responding.

Is the Spurs drummer back?

"We only sing when we're winning!" :p

Seriously though, need to get behind the team like that every game. Did sound like we had a drummer at one point during the rather tribalistic rhythmic chanting. Got my juices flowing. :X3:

I liked that there was an immediate shout of "Come on you Spurs" when they scored. In other games we probably would have started moaning and groaning by then. It helped too that we equalised soon, but the crowd was definitely much better and more positive today.

Yeah great atmosphere today. There was one point, I think the first stray pass (by Mason) when everyone seemed to jump on it, but after that it was positive the whole way...... we played very well which obviously helped (chicken & egg?!).

This this and this. The Come On You Spurs drowning out the Everton fans' celebrations made me feel like I was at home again.

So proud to be part of that today - singing Bobby off at half time was epic.

Someone enlighten me, what was the 'kick his fucking head in' song?

When I was just
A little boy
My mother gave me
A little toy
An arsenal fan
On a string
She told me to kick his FUCKING HEAD IN
FUCKING HEAD IN
FUCKING HEAD IN
She told me to kick his FUCKING HEAD IN

Someone else on this forum pointed it out long ago, tis all about those drums to get the rhythm going; even us more socially awkward fans can't help to chant then :p Just a human mentality thing blah blah

It's a two way thing. The late kick off helps, but most importantly the team began with intent, rather than sleepwalking through the first 20 mins.

We also put a shift in. It sounds very old school but players actually putting their foot in and "fucking running around a bit" does get a response from the crowd.
