Christ some over reacting in here. This guy is new to PL, knows he's been brought in to replace Walker after a huge media build up and is just trying too hard to impress imo and making mistakes because of it.
He played for one of the richest clubs in the world so he's obviously a good player.
Be a bit more patient ffs before writing him off or putting youth academy players in front of him.
He's got a good attitude judging by this headline so with Poch guiding him I'd bet my left plum he ends up being mustard and some people ready to throw him under the bus are going to look very silly in 6 months.
Wouldn’t be the first time.

I’ve lost count of the number of times the “experts” have written a player off only for him to turn out mustard. Aurier will be no different.

You’d think this place was populated by pundits...

Aurier came out of a bad situation at PSG and had no pre season with us. He needs a bit of time to bed in and get used to the team, the Manager, the surroundings, the EPL and the expectations of the fans. But, predictably, some are already pulling the trigger. Walker had years to become the player he was with us and I think many are conveniently overlooking just how bad he was on numerous occasions. Judge Aurier when he's fully fit and integrated by all means but in the meantime give him a bit of leeway FFS.

Also; remember how our other fullbacks looked while adapting to our system. Trippier and Davies struggled immensely in their first months. Rose was very far from the player he is now, and when Walker came back into the fold after his injury, he spent the rest of the 14/15 season looking like Chiriches on acid.

Aurier, albeit making mistakes) has looked better than all of them did in the same circumstances. And his game at the Bernabeu was a genuine masterclass (before anyone mentions the penalty; Kroos getting a bad touch wasn't exactly predictable. If he hadn't got that touch, diving in trying to block the shot was the only small chance there was to prevent a certain goal.)

Agree. He was also good against Dortmund, and pretty good against Liverpool playing as a lwb and defending against Salah...tough asks for a newcomer to a new country, league, team and playing style.
