My money is on Trips having a great season on the back of the World Cup, so get yer head down Serge and work very hard.

Don't just think it's Trippier he needs to compete with...he needs to be looking over his shoulder at a very able, young KWP.

Now it all makes sense, not having a preseason is what made him dive in to tackles in silly areas.

Serge would need to have quite the turnaround to change my opinion of him at this point.

Can only be could for us to have a decent bit of competition at right back again. Let them at it.

Even if Serge tightens up on the foul throws, silly free kicks and penalties, how is he gonna compete on the deadball delivery side of things.

I'm glad he's up for a fight, i can only see him playing FA and League Cups with Trippier selected for the EPL & CL, unless fatigue and injury forces a change.

He'll be rotated with Trippier like last season in the league I assume.

I simply cannot trust him in any important game at this point and have yet to see anything particularly impressive to his game.

If he's still looking a liability, I feel KWP should be given more of an opportunity.

Big season ahead for him, I don't think he's anywhere near good enough tbh. Prove me wrong Serge.

Well, Trippier now offers more than the right sided play. He's shown he is excellent at set pieces, which means more flexibility and options onfield that Serge can offer.
Through a whole season and they'll both play plenty though.

Personally not a SA fan, he offers little going forward and is poor defensively. Hopefully he will be a lot better this year although I think we could have saved 25 mil and played KWP last season the kids got massive potential.
