Thanks for the update, im Australian as fuck but im currently in Amsterdam. I will message my grandad and old boy and they will be stoked ! Been a long time since SBS had games or even highlights.

Now that Optarse has the coverage, its nothing but a massive fail for EPL coverage here in Australia.

Explain to me whats hard about the whole Optus situation? Do you have to get an internet bundle .. couldn't you just the 10 bucks a week or whatever like foxtel ?

Not everyone wants to stream their football, ie not everyone has a decent internet connection.........

I'm annoyed because i want to watch it but north are playing in the afl tomorrow night and it may be the last chance for me to see some of our stalwarts (being a member i feel obliged to go as i have the tickets already).

I'm not fully across it, but from what I've read you have to sign up for an Optus contract in one form or another, however most people already have existing contracts with other service providers, which obviously costs money to break. You'd also be pretty reluctant to pay for a cheap/useless service, like a Sim-only prepaid service, just for the sake of getting access.

They also only offer a streaming service, so you are limited to watching on your computer because they do not have a Smart TV app, which then forces you to pick up one of their Fetch TV boxes additionally if you want to watch from your TV.

They had a fair few issues with their stream quality/stability during the first week, but from most accounts that's cleaned up now.

Basically they're just ****s.

Yeah okay that's pretty fucked . Streaming is unreliable at the best of times, I thought it was merely a foxtel rip off they created with numerous channels and you just buy their shitty box and subscription and away you go

Can't get NBN where I am, I have vivid wireless and laptop streaming is fine but struggles through the TV. Regular series are fine but live sport buffers a fair bit. Shame.
