Technically 'Thanet Way' I believe, which encompasses the north coast of Kent and Sittingbourne area up to the Medway towns. But yeah, not the most vibrant of social scenes round there, shall we say...
I'm familiar with the area, I was unlucky enough to grow up for 16 years in Medway, and my Grandma lives in Thanet. Reculver doesn't strike me as the most AVB-sort of place to visit, there's just the ruins, a pebbly beach and tonnes of caravans!

I live in medway, but was down Whitstable for the weekend with my girlfriend - we have a 1970 Beetle, so had a great weekend driving about, eating BBQ food etc.. Didnt see AVB and his gang tho.

I live in Whitstable. Such an awesome place when the sun's out.

Apparently, according to the Kent Messenger at least, he's 'a bit partial to the food in Kent'. I'm not sure that's factually correct, as I'm pretty certain you can get Egg & Chips pretty much anywhere

Perhaps he was down in Reculver to see 1st hand where the Dambusters tested their bouncing bombs, or perhaps he wanted to stop off on the Thanet Way at the same pub as Delboy & Rodney and was dismayed to see it's closed down, or perhaps he'd heard about the luminescent sea urchins, or wanted to visit the (also closed down) Bun Penny and reminisce the 1st series of Little Britain.........or perhaps he'd already stopped at Faversham for the Shepherd Neame brewery tour had a jar too many Hurllimanns (Hooligans to the locals) and got lost on the way home?
