Last saturday, and after the midweek's demolition of Anzhi, the majority were praising the bouncebackability skills of AVB and his men. And now there's absolutely NO WAY back for him. I'm not saying he should stay or go right now, and I don't really know why I allow myself to get amazed about the fickleness and knee-jerk nature of football fans, but... I still do.

I certainly wasn't praising him.
We beat 3 fucking hopeless teams and drew against an average United.

my biggest gripe is we still continue to look slow in everything we do and there are no signs at all of it changing. we're boring with our football, only bale prevented this from being brutally exposed for what it was earlier.

Beyond the skill set to be a good manager you have to have 3 things. The backing of the board, the backing of the players and the backing of the fans.

If one of the three is out of place then your job is difficult but two is insurmountable which is where I feel we are now (if not all 3). There is no coming back now.

Straight from the off, AVB has had a battle with some of the fans, that was never going to end well. The Harry love in really did but him on the backfoot from the off. And i think any manager coming in would struggle with that. I remember at the time Martinez was mentioned, but some of the stuff said by some people on this very board was pretty harsh on the man.

Hopefully, this will sober up a few fans , from a pretty good few years in the scope of things of our club, and we can fully get behind our new manager.

Funnily enough there is only 1 person to blame and it isnt AVB.
He simply wasn't up to the job at all you could totally see that behind the scenes.

Please tell us that person won't be picking his replacement? I think we all know the answer to that though....

You are obviously happy JJ! You called him out a good while back in fairness.
Not happy to be honest as its just a waste of time.
You could see he had basic deficiencies and it would fail, very disappointing.
There is no pleasure in "i told you so" in this instance.

avb was the joke mate

Levy's 10 year play, How many managers has there been?

The Joke is that yet again we are going to bring in another manager who will bring his own style and maybe change some faces.
How many more managers will we hear that has fallen out with Levy and soon after gone?

Who ever Levy brings in, he needs to be backed.

I can understand people may have wanted to give him more time. But how is it a joke, you can't be surprised he's gone
