If anything I don't think he was ruthless enough in the end. He seemed to try and pace things out and compromise on tactics and selection rather than just making the changes he wanted to, the whole thing always seemed to be in transition.

The Friedel/Lloris situation, The Dawson situation, Lamela, Never going to a 4-3-3, his loyalty towards the first team squad and giving them all a chance in case he pissed them off so ending with selections such as Naughton at left back instead of a youngster getting a game in his natural position...

I think the Chelsea situation damaged him, he was trying a more softly softly approach and its led to him getting completely confused tactically. A shame.

I think your right. The softly softly approach was what was needed at Chavs. Ruthlessness and decisive leadership was what was needed at Spurs.

Total arrogance
Reliance of stats of players and not using his eyes
Not listening to anyone else
Refusing to meet with Daniel and Franco about players
Ostracising the rest of the club from the 1st team
Rude behind the scenes to all staff

I actually felt a bit sad for AVB when I found out. But if this is true then I've no sympathy for the guy.

I suspect this is absolutely spot on.

I wouldn't say he was rude to ALL staff. He was friendly and helpful with other coaches at the club but obviously he pissed off the wrong people. But spot on about ostracising the 1st team.
