There were no good bits. Bale saved his sorry arse too many times to mention. He dismantled a good side and replaced it with players who appear to either not be able to play his way, did not understand how to play his way, or didn't respect him enough to try.

I know some players we have aren't good enough, but I hope the ones that are get behind the new permanent boss. I also hope he is enough of a people person to hold that respect.

Good riddance AVB, thanks for ruining the club

I dont think Hugo is becoming worse on his own, the whole team have their heads down, its a collective thing. Only a few weeks back he was still lording it and coming out to sweep up. Something he would be doing less with a better defensive structure anyway.

Gomes is, and always will be a total clown.

Worst has to be our general play. So boring 99% of the time.

There are other worst moments, but they aren't entirely his fault. Every player that played against West Ham, City and Liverpool has a huge black mark over their heads imo.

Best I'm not sure, as again not much is entirely to his credit. Perhaps it's Bale.

Or pass it into the late run of Paulinho, to smash it into the back of the net. Or knock it to the back post and the run of the other winger, to smash it into the back of the net.

Going from a side that conceded in the last 5 minutes and threw games away to a side that played the full 95 and often grabbed a winner. Scoring against Man U at home to earn the draw in "Fergie time" was a personal favourite.


I really hope that we manage to keep some of what AVB instilled in the team. We were slow and turgid at home but it wasn't all bad - just as it wasn't all good under 'Arry.

I really like the fella, but I feel the board placed far to much pressure on him to get a CL spot, thus pushing him into a shell that required him to win games and built a wall of being scared to lose. This completely destroyed AVB of actually going for it and playing his 4-3-3 with fast attacking football.

Of course, I really don't know for sure, but all the signing during the transfer window suggested a 4-3-3. So the question is, what the hell went wrong?

The passion he showed on the sidelines, was amazing.

The worst, his inability to let us just go for it and play like city and tear teams apart, we had the squad, we had the players, the manager in his heart wanted to, but it well went wrong as he bottled playing his 4-3-3.
