England Under-21 goalkeeper Ben Alnwick may have jeopardised a £1million move to Tottenham after he was filmed in a sex session with a young girl and two fellow Sunderland players.

    Source: Daily Mail

The north-east club have launched a full inquiry after 19-year-old Alnwick was shown taking part in sex acts with the unnamed woman along with five other men, including winger Liam Lawrence, who is currently on loan at Stoke, striker Chris Brown and former midfielder Martin Woods, who is now at Rotherham.

In the seven minute video, Alnwick, 19, is pictured winking at the camera as he has sex with the girl, who is refered to only as 'Stevie'. Brown, meanwhile, who was dropped for Saturday's win over Norwich, does a running commentary of the action.

The three can expect to face the wrath of manager Roy Keane, who will face the media today ahead of tomorrow's clash at home to Luton and be forced to answer questions about the extra curricular activities of his young players.

Club marketing and communications director Lesley Callaghan said: 'The behaviour of any individual that adversely affects the image or good name of Sunderland Football Club is obviously disappointing and we will be handling this matter internally.'

Alnwick is on the verge of a £1m move to White Hart Lane, with Spurs' young Hungarian keeper Marton Fulop heading north, after impressing in his brief stint in the struggling Sunderland side earlier in the season. However, he has been held back by a shoulder injury which has seen him lose his place to veteran Darren Ward.

It is not the first time Brown has been in hot water. Two years ago the 19-year-old son of former Sunderland striker Alan admitted taking pot shots at passers-by during a shooting spree with a ballbearing gun.

Armed police arrested Brown and young players Ryan Bell and Sean Taylor after reports of three men driving round Sunderland firing at pedestrians. The trio accepted a caution for public order offences.

Lawrence's days at Sunderland are numbered after he was sent to Stoke following a training ground disagreement with Keane who has already shown a lack of patience with some members of the squad he inherited.

Tommy Miller, Jon Stead, Rory Delap, Neill Collins, Andy Welsh, Dan Smith, Clive Clarke and William Mocquet have all gone out on loan since Keane arrived in September.

Geezer! These are all healthy activities as far as I can see; sign him up.

Mmm. Not such a good idea when you're a young Championship (soon to be Premiership) footballer at a high-profile club and you let the Daily Mail get hold of the film though is it?!
  5. Freddiehotspur
I would consider this just as aggrieving/positive (depends on which end of the scale you are on) as Ekotto's head kick. This is not about single players, but the club's reputation, and i fully understand the decision to discipline/sort em out/kick em out of the club.
Never wanted Alnwick, let's keep Fulop.

The lad is only young and everyone makes mistakes, i've got to say i don't think what he gets up to in his spare time should bother anyone. However i suppose when your in the limelight so to speak you've got to be a bit careful.
As NeverRed06 says we haven't got him yet, so i wouldn't worry about it to much! Just mention to him to keep his home videos locked away when/if he signs!

Maybe he could get a sponsorship from Durex?

yeah its bad publicity but as long as he appologises, i'd still welcome him.
  9. McFlash
Hey, it's not like he kicked somebody in the face now is it?!!!!
  10. pierreb
That was a reply to McFlash. I don't think I've got the hang of this new set up.

He'd fit in well with the dated porn star look of the coaching staff.
