i doubt its Spurs being cute and pulling him out, because we would have done that before he joined up with the squad. More likely its the fact that Redknapp has a cultivated a good relationship with a manager like Toshack, and the latter will have told Harry that if Bale has a little knock, he won't risk him for a friendly against Luxembourg a week before the season starts.
