The proper name for awards in football is medals. As in, "show us your...."

Sick to my back teeth of all these football awards. I've lost count of them there are so many nowadays. The Hollywoodisation of football. Yes, the Bd'O has been around forever, but ffs, enough already.

Does it perpuate (the incorrect) belief that players have to play at/be considered by the very biggest/most reknown teams to be considered?

That high profile failed move to Barca which will still likely happen probably helped him on to the list.

There's still more players to be added.
Expect pogba to be on there too, he's been unplayable since arriving back in England

Used google translate on that page and one of the comments below I thought was quite amazing(/amusing)...

In my humble opinion, even if I put my hand to cut and at risk of passing for a new-age illuminated marginal believing in reincarnation as a flying spaghetti monster, a certain Cristian Ronald will be on this list.

Opinions are subjective and all that but what is it about Coutinho? He's a good player, sometimes very good but... what am I missing?

Compared to De Bruyne, David Silva and Eriksen and he isn't on that level IMO.

I'd even take Ozil over him even though the latter peaked at Real Madrid and is on the decline.

Is it because he's Brazilian? I understand the domestic/Liverpool bias but what about those outside of this country?

I was very surprised to see Dzeko there, had completely forgot he exists. Turns out he's been banging them in for Roma. 8 in 8 this season so far
