press in catalunya is saying that Barca have agreed terms with Ibrahimovic. The 2 clubs still trying to agree a fee(50 million euros). Mourinho has gone crazy and has threatened to resign. The player wants to move obviously. Eto'o is not part of any deal. Eto'os agent again stated today that he is going nowhere

the mistakes that barca made in 05-06 were they didnt freshen the side and they kept players like ronaldinho and deco 1 season too long. I think they are aware of that now and they see Perez going crazy as well. They have a chance to dominate spanish and european football for 3/4 years if the right signings are made.

if perez buys ronaldo and kaka where are they going to play??? both player best position is in a free role.

Eto'o is not a better player, Ibra is a Player that can change the games without a team, eto'o must have behind messi ad henry. We pay our players more than barca, i think that eto'o would be happy to have 10 millions in his poket

Moratti pidió 40 y a Samuel.
No será fácil.

Not in base wage I don't think. Beckhams' reported $252 contract is mostly commercial endorsments, image rights, percentage of merchandise sales etc. Also I think he has a clause to buy the club.

Purely in terms of base wage I'm fairly sure Ibra has the highest.

If they get Ibra and keep Eto'o then that will leave them with more great attacking options. Bojan will be loaned out and i'm sure Gudjohnsen will be sold. So i'm not surprised they're looking for another striker. And why not get a world class one like Ibra?

Henry, Ibra, Eto'o, Messi > Berbatov, Tevez, Ronaldo, Rooney

Exciting times.

That article is saying that Ibra is crazy about moving to Barca. He wants to go there because he feels it will raise his profile and will help him achieve his dream of winning the champions league. Laporta and Moratti have met a few times, also last year to discuss it, but at the time Barca decided not to go for it. This time Laporta is offering 25m euros plus Eto'o for Ibra, but Moratti wants 40m euros plus Eto'o. Also Ibra is not worried about having to take a pay cut to play there because he believes in the clubs plans.

Something along those lines anyway. So basically it isn't saying anything about Ibra as an extra option, it is Ibra to replace Eto'o. Of course it is from the agent.

It had to happen.
Zizou has said Madrid are interested in Ibra- this makes things interesting.

This Barca side has had one good season, they need to win a hell of a lot more to be considered the best side in the history of football. Real Madrid won 5 consecutive European titles in the 1950's (consider no team has won it back to back in 20 years) and won 8 of 9 titles in the 1960's. You can kind of see my point surely.

I'm not saying Real Madrid are a better team than Barcelona now, that would be daft. Just that the best team in the history of football probably isn't this Barca team.
