Not sure I understand the logic of this.
It's a signing for signings sake
and the first of several
if i read you correctly
in a position where we already have
more than adequate cover
of similar if not better quality.
20million down the drain
to quieten the baying signings mob.
If reports are true and we have agreed a fee then it's not my logic it's the club's logic you will need to understand as they would have bought him for a reason, maybe they have doubts over wanyama with his injuries over the last couple of years.
If the club feel it's the right move then I back them to be honest I'm expecting nothing so wouldn't get your hopes up.

Anyone know much about him? Beyond a couple of games at the WC

Yeah I’ve watched him 2 or 3 times for Boca this season. He is very high energy, the easiest comparison is Kante. He looks very good every time I see him but it’s obviously hard to judge the quality of opposition. He also is good at breaking lines and making darting little runs forward. The Boca fans absolutely love him. Imo his energy in CM is something we don’t have and a welcome addition.

Wasn't this already pretty much known that we agreed but wouldn't get till Jan because of some championship his team are involved with.

Only seen him at the world cup, can't say I recall anything about him but least it stops the boring talk about not signing anyone

Would have preferred the Slovakian we were linked too.

Dak and Barrios, what a time to be alive ...

That's just the fucking journo who reported the story. So much bullshit going around.

If he provides a bit of dynamism and bite, and if that gives us more options in DM and allows our other CMs or players we think could play there (Winks, Dembele, Skipp, Dele, Eriksen) then great.

For a true DM Dier is slow and Wanyama doesn’t seem to be reliable now

Who would be better in a years time WB or Oliver Skipp? Personally I think Skipp has a far higher ceiling.
I personally don't care about their living conditions.

I just don't think Barrios is good enough on what i saw at the WC.

That Luis Fregossi is not Barrios' agent, he is a barely known journalist that covers boca (I had never heard of him until now)

He's also the only journalist saying this. No other journalist in Argentina is talking about this.

He’s like the Tasmanian Devil (cartoon), over excitable but going by his WC performances his passing is wayward and his tackling diabolical, no thanks... guaranteed yellows/red in the prem.

Do we have adequate cover? Our defensive midfielders are Dier and a currently injured Wanyama. Not sure we can rely on Wanyama tbh.

Can we not? I've only just got over the disappointment of the bloody summer transfer window.

Excellent business he is a tigerish player who get through a hell of a lot of work plus he can pass a ball. With Dembele who might be on his way we gonna need such a player

How did you get to that conclusion ?
