Looks like he is really enjoying his football, I can see him getting 5-10 goals if he keeps going. His finish yesterday wasn't an easy one, many a left back would have tried to find a corner or blast it right at the keeper, I hope Rose doesn't walk right back into the first 11.

For me his finish optimised Ben Davies, always cool calm and collected literally a cool customer did not panic.

“They are a good team and you cannot concentrate on one player,” Inside Futbol quotes Klopp as saying. "There are a few nice examples.

Davies is for me a perfect example. I think, especially because Rose was there, nobody thought Davies would play that much.

"In the beginning, I saw it, he struggled in one or two moments. But they stayed cool with him and he made big steps, fantastic player.

“He probably was before, I didn't know him that good before. But since he is there he made big steps.”

Loved his little one man celebration at the end of the Madrid game. He kinda looked embarrassed after he did it, like he had forgotten he was in a stadium full of people. He's a funny fella.

Sure I read comments from Southampton players about how Poch and his teams training methods had improved their physical performance.

I'm sure I saw something specific to improving the speed of his players - particularly over the first couple of yards. I am fairly certain he would be doing the same with the Spurs lads.

He doesn't have the power of Rose, the technical ability of Trippier or the sheer audacity of Aurier, but what I love about Ben is that he's just so reliable. Every time he plays these days you know that he's going to do his job with discipline, dedication and desire.

This does him a disservice - he is more than reliable and hardworking. He's got a proper football brain. Turns up in just the right place so often.

I actually think his technical ability is underrated. He has a lovely first touch and passes the ball out of defence better than any of the others. He’s also by far the best in the air, he’s a good no nonsense tackler and he’s composed under pressure.

Yeah I absolutely agree with that.

I guess my point was that since that Liverpool game when he's been in the team on a regular basis I can't remember a single time he's let the team down. Most of the other players, for all their brilliance, have a mistake in them but Ben just seems so trustworthy. Sure, he's definitely intelligent and he's solid, if not spectacular, in most areas but, I dunno, there's just something about him that is reassuring, almost comforting. He's the football equivalent of curling up under a blanket with a cup of tea on a cold winters night while a fire is roaring in the hearth.

He looks far more relaxed these days. Definitely improved while at the club.

It's got to be having regular game time. The amount of players we've had who haven't performed for us only to do it at clubs when we sell them is endless.

Hopefully he keeps it up

Reminds me a bit of Darren Anderton; one of those quiet, elegant, unfussy people who just does a thoroughly professional job.
