Totally fair points mate. Like you say, we're coming from the same place in that we just want the right appointment. I would love to be proven wrong about FDB or whoever we appoint. I just want us to play exciting football and have the ability to outwit teams occasionally. COYS!

He doesn't play teams the Tottenham way so he's out I imaging . We don't want to win trophies it's more important to score and concede loads of goals .

I would love Benitez and I was surprised that we didn't go for him after Redknapp. Maybe, it was thought that he would go to Liverpool, but then Rogers got the job.

He won the CL with Liverpoo with somebody else's squad, then proceeded to dismantle that squad to ultimately leave the rebuilding of the club that we've all witnessed over the last 4 or 5 years. It's no coincidence that Liverpoo won a trophy in his first 2 seasons, then won absolutely bugger all since (apart from the League Cup in 2012). it's also easy to forget that he left Liverpoo in 7th place in the PL, and was fired even though it was reported that it cost the owners at the time £6million in compensation to remove him.
Think you are a tad creagive in some of points,
Robbie Keane was a Rick Parry purchase, Benitez didn't want him.
His net spend was £80 m. this would be nearer £30 m when the sale of Torres is included.
It was Benitez who purchased Alonso.
You accuse him of beating AC Milan with someone else's squad. Nonsense.
Kaka was ripping it up against Liverpool in the first half, it was when Benitez, changed it at halftime by bringing Hamman on to neutralize Kaka, and affect the outcome.
Excellent tactican and great organiser of defences. He is exactly what we need at this time.
And if reports emanating from the Italian press are correct, he may be a free agent next week.
It is reported he was on a a 1 year contract with a 1 year option.

No, wasnt being sarcastic. You just reminded me of how bad he was towards the end at Liverpool. How for about 3 or 4 windows he shipped out whoever was top goal scorer at the time lol.
Yes he's won stuff but its at clubs that very rarely go more than 2 seasons without winning something no matter whos in charge.
Youve put me off lol.

Why would such an obviously great manager be a) available mid season for Chelsea, and b) on a 1 year contract?
Shit even TS is on 18mth lol.

No, no, no. Rafa gets results for sure but he plays negative football. He is old hat and we need a forward thinker
