Tottenham monitoring Bayer Leverkusen's Benjamin Henrichs

SIMON JONES
: Tottenham are considering a potential move for Bayer Leverkusen full-back Benjamin Henrichs though they are keeping their options open.

Henrichs' representatives are understood to be keen to discuss a move for the versatile 20-year-old though he is valued at £18million by Leverkusen.

Henrichs would be my preference as the Walker replacement. Has looked class whenever I have seen him and is very fast. Didn't he just sign a new contract this summer though?

Another young German. Although 18 million definitely won't be happening

I'm glad he signed a new contract, at least we know that's not the main point of Spurs being mentioned with him for a change.

He was said to be 13M at one stage & then some sources suggested he was available for as little as 3M & now it's shot up to 18M, sounds like the usual up the price Spurs are coming!

I may have missed something but I think that 3M price tag was Toljan.

Really starting to hate the term 'considering' this window. How about actually trying to do something Spurs?

Carry on and keep your options open though. Not like there's only a couple of weeks until the season starts or anything...

He's the sort of talent that we should flat out pay for no qualms or haggling about it. too bad it will amount to nothing

I might be reading too much into Poch's post match comments I think the penny seems to have dropped that our youth aren't good enough yet to fill the gaps in our squad. A subtle message to Levy to get going.

There is another player at Leverkusen who would be perfect for us, Brandt could be our second Son, which in my opinion is exactly what we need.

If I piece together the ITK it seems we are trying to get a cheap RB and Barkley on the cheap so we can break our transfer record on a wing forward. The problem is until we confirm the price on Barkley and the RB we don't know if we have the money for the "star" signing. Could work out or could end up with Sissoko Mk2.

saying that we are monitoring this bloke doesn't really mean much, I'm sure we are monitoring a lot of players that we will not make an offer for

I don't think Brandt is gettable, sadly.

Do like Henrichs but I'm sure this link will go no where like all the others...
