It is a shame this player has joined at a time of a bit of negativity. I don't watch much French football so haven't seen him but I like the sound of him.
Bienvenu Benjamin.

I've only seen clips of him but he looks impressive, whole-hearted, good timing and skillful.

"negativity"? In regards to what? We have kept hold of the players we wanted to (Lloris, Eriksen), got rid of players whom were deemed surplus, and got - aside from Schneiderlin - the players our manager wanted. We've won two of our first three games with a new manager.

personally, I'm not feeling negative at all and i don't sense negativity from the players.

I wonder if anyone asked for Lloris opinion on him when we were scouting him? I should imagine having the French National Team's captain playing for us will help us attract players from the French League.

He sounds highly motivated which is a big advantage of taking players from smaller leagues and teams. I hope he plays like he has something to prove in terms of work rate and application. Really looking forward to seeing him play.

Waits for the Inevitable "surely if Swansea wanted him he is not good enough for us", the same people that want us to sign Bony no doubt.

I think he's referring to negativity from the fans - i.e. that there seems to be a lot of people moaning that we haven't spent £50m on players or moaning about some of the new signings (without even seeing them play in a Spurs shirt, or without giving Pochettino implement his tactics/philosophy.

Personally I'm with you, feeling quite optimistic at the moment!

Somebody posted a clip about him a week ago. Looks quick and nimble and full of running.

If people are moaning about us not spending £16m on Wellbeck or £24m for a one-year loan of a player, then they need to take a good look at themselves and the reality of our situation :)

The interview responses left me feeling that he is quite an intelligent guy.

I'm seeing a trend here, in that we appear to be putting together a squad of intelligent players who, if they buy into the way Poch wants to play the game, can be moulded into a very dangerous unit.

I don't think anyone is negative about this guy in particular, I've never seen him play and I doubt many other fans know him that we

We shouldn't be too negative. He's highly rated in France, plays every game which isn't something that's been true of every player we've signed in recent years and it seems like Poch chose him not Levy. To me that's all good. The negativity comes from Sandro leaving and Schneiderlin not coming but let's consider both of those. Southampton wanted crazy money and Sandro has never made himself first choice on a regular basis although several managers have had a look at him. The way we play with the defensive midfielders having to do a lot of the defending as the full backs push up we need the right players there and we may need to rotate.
