Solid player but not exceptional. Always thought he would develop but again injuries held him back and now he is well down the squad pecking order. Obviously not willing to fight for his place so moving on is the best option for him and the club.

We'll learn something new once he moves and makes his 1st statement at his new club.

As of now its all from Poch. Nabil has not uttered a single word, and rightfully so as he's still tied up with us.

I don't what's gone on there but if he isn't a disruption, I can't see the harm in him training with us, he is still being paid by us, he is still our player. He's not part Ugo's plans either. Obviously poch must shape the team and do what he thinks is fit, I'm just saying if the guy is not a disruption then there is no real need to do that IMO.

If he's not going to be playing for the first team why should he be taking up spots in training matches and time with the first team coaches over a player who will?

I mean if that was the case I'm sure poch would say that, is there someone from the U21s taking Bentaleb's place in training or the squad?

That's a big IF. He could well be a disruption and if so i would expect it to stay private. The fall out with Andros was very private so obviously they choose to keep this kind of story from the media.

Last season when he did play, he looked too big for his boots. I said it then and i still think that he has developed an ego that has hampered him. Poch won't tolerate it.

shame he doesn't want to stay and prove himself. He was shown faith with a big contract and now expects to be guaranteed starts, even when the team is doing extremely well. Bad attitude.

Wanyama, Winks and Onomah all need that playing and training time more than Bentaleb does, the latter 2 especially given their age.

A couple of reasons come to mind - first, he is leaving, so we get no benefit from training him in our tactics/philosophy. Second, with limited coaches, you want them to focus their attention on players who will benefit us.

At this point - when the decision has been taken to sell the player, by his choice or the club's, there is no benefit to training the player in the squad's tactics. Certainly, its to everyone's benefit for the player to continue to train to maintain fitness, and technical skills - thus training with the reserves.

I think if Bentaleb is not disruptive there is space for them to train we have a big training complex, it's not like the coaches will be attending to him.

Mitchell has given in his resignation but he's not on gardening leave, he is still expected to be professional and do his job.

He will be training in the complex, he's with the U21s and everyone trains there now. He won't be training with the first team coaches, because he's no longer in the first team.

He could continue to train with us just for fitness and technical skill, I am sure he would benefit more from first team training than reserve training. He hasn't said Yedlin is not part of his plans to the best of my knowledge but I can't see Yedlin having a future with us at all.
