It sounds like the agent is just negotiating in public. Not much more than that. Vague threats and unnamed clubs. I suppoose he's doing his job. It's just that it's a contemptible job. It's all bollocks. If there were a bigger club interested, he would have named them.

I wonder what he's on, £20k?

I think he's earned a new 5 year deal at around £40k. I'm sure it'll get sorted. Anyone with eyes can see he's got a very bright future.

how many years does he have left on his current deal?

given hes technically hg, would he be subject to the same valuation process as ings?

just wondering what leverage the agent has....

Benteleb should be paid the going rate as with all the development players. Regardless if they have come through the system we should be paying them the going rate...i would hate to think that because you're development player you'd be under paid compared to a player being bought.

I beileve all sporting contract should be performance related....for example I bet Soldado Paulinho Adebayor maybe Lamela are on money way beyond their performance level. payment ie bonuses should be reviewed seasonally.

But what if it's like sterling and he wants a tonne more money than he should get, and is being greedy what ever you say about levy since cambell his been really good at keeping our players on long contracts.

But this isn't like Sterlling's case at all. Sterling wants to leave Liverpool and people are equating that to being greedy. Strerling generally may feel he has a better chance of winning trophies eleswhere or he could want back to London plus if we was that greedy he'd of signed livepool's contract but he hasn't and therefore is losing money at the moment.

Benteleb is still on development money and to be fair deserve a pay rise

Sterling doesn't want more than he can get. It's hilarious that people have continually conflated him turning down £100k with him wanting more than that. He wants to leave Liverpool, he's not negotiating for more money.

It seems obvious he is being offered a pay rise but maybe wants more than the going rate at Spurs for his 'tier'. Without knowing what has been offered and what he is asking for I find it laughable that some people have a 'pay him the money Levy!' attitude.

A little gratitude would go a long way from Nabil's agent as his client was on the football scrapheap before we took him in.

I appreciate that the agent must take care of his client but posturing and veiled threats tend not to work and just get Levy's back up

That's rubbish ie football scraphead- So Bentaleb should just shut up because Tottenham gave him a chance while other players get the going rate. by the way his repaid Tottenham with good performance we've finished well in the leauge and his transfer values has increased.

He sees so called 'star' players coming in on huge salaries.
Players who are come through the ranks often don't get the same offer of huge money. He deserves it having already starred in a World Cup and the ACON.
Levy needs to sort it quickly.
