It does, but doesn't take you straight to the story. As has already been said, tell us something we didn't know.

read the article. motor mouth jol was a bit harsh, I think he set the story straight. there was no bust up really. you can even imagine Jol saying the fighter line and he's right in the respect that his talent far out weighs his fight.

Jol should maybe stop talking now.

I like the words he's said so far, but I think he's liking the attention a bit too much.

I agree. If we want fighters, send out eleven Michael Browns and get relegated.

Berba's body language is actually classically East European (and I speak as someone with Polish blood in my veins), but just because he looks sulky it doesn't mean he doesn't care. Thierry Henry was always having a sulk or a strop. Fundamentally it was because he had the notorious "winning mentality". For me that's what we should be striving for.

Ask the board why Jol is talking so much? He has every right to tell his side of the story, he has endured endless lies in the press and now wants to set the record straight.

What has he said that is not true?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a player i liken a lot to Berba, both the same physique and defo the same world class ability, but on the pitch it appears they aren't trying. But as we know with Berba he has everything in his locker to turn a game for us. Still getting assists this season and i am sure it wont be long till he is banging them in again. funny how some people seem to have turned on him, yet more short memory syndrome.

But thats been our problem. we have NO fighters at all. and people like Huddlestone and zokora who hide are the complete opposite of what we need right now.

Michael Brown and Tim Sherwoods spirit and attitude wouldnt be too far off the mark at the mo. pre-madonnas wont drag us out of this rut.

The problem with these sort of comments is that the answers were up to Jol to solve.
He was the one who would have said sell Davids, Brown, Mendes and Davis so our lack of fight in other areas is down to him.

He also had the choice not to play Berbatov and to put Keane/Bent/Defoe together or go for a 4-5-1.

If Jol is just being reflective about where he went wrong then fair enough but if he's trying to make excuses then it is starting to sound like sour grapes.

Those players wanted to leave because they were not playing.

Those players wanted to leave because they were not playing.

But that was Jol's choice not to play them.

He chose Jenas/Zokora/Huddlestone/Malbranque etc over these players.
If he's saying, with hindsight, he made a mistake in sacrificing flair for work rate then as I said in my earlier post, fair enough.
But it sounds like he's trying to find a scapegoat for our poor results which is wrong.

He's in charge of team selection, he's in charge of who to sell, so he has to take responsibility for those decisions.

One thing Jol stated very clearly in the Sunday Times interview was that while he didn't always get the last word on aquisitions, he did on departures. Kanoute, Davids and Mendes were replaced with players like Mido, Ghaly, (almost certainly not Comoli's choices, both Jol/Arnesen).

You can't fuck off Edgar Davids and then bitch that you needed an experienced ball winner. Or fuck off Kanoute and complain that keane and defoe can't play together when Mido spends 6 months out with a drooping bottom lip.
