Berbatov wants to quit Spurs - Dad
Dimitar Berbatov's dad claims his son wants to leave Tottenham, according to reports on Wednesday.
The Bulgarian striker's future has been the subject of much speculation for months now.
And it appears to be in even more doubt after his father Ivan told Bulgarian television that he wants to quit White Hart Lane.
Manchester United were linked with a big-money move for Berbatov during the summer after he impressed in his first season in the top flight.
But he pledged his future to Spurs, and after talks earlier this week sporting director Damien Comolli said Berbatov is not looking to leave the club in January.
However according to the Daily Mirror, Berbatov Sr told Bulgarian TV: "My son doesn't feel happy at Tottenham any more. He wants to leave."
According to the tabloid Berbatov's father, along with his agent Emil Dantchev, have now travelled to London for talks with the Tottenham hierarchy.
The paper quotes a source close to the player as saying: "Dimitar is telling everybody that he doesn't want to stay and would like to leave in January.
"He feels that me made a mistake in the summer by not asking the club to sell him when Manchester United were interested."
