Yeah that's what I meant, they sang it at 2-2 to 'get us back'. And although they're idiots for singing it to us when they're not even beating us and when we're 7 places above them in the league, the unfortunate fact remains that we sing it too early sometimes and we should know better cos it can come back and bite us on our arseholes when we let a 2 goal lead slip.

Can you bite an arsehole? I don't think you can. But you get what I mean....
Depends what you mean by 'arsehole'. Has Suarez ever Lecter'd John Terry?

I agree with you on the 'you're shit' chant. Awful, arrogant, and perfectly designed to come back to haunt us. We sang it against Newcastle at the Lane when we were winning, only for them to get two late goals followed by their fans chanting it back to us.

All time favourite is Cant smile without you. Tourists havent a clue about this one, its ours, only ours. Love it when it gets going in the park lane.

Glory glory is our most stirring song, when sung slow, without clapping

Problem being is most of our fans are fucking simpletons who believe ever songs have to be sung at max speed with hands clapped like fucking seals.

I haven't been for a little while but the last game I went to we sang a good'un. To the tune of 'We hate Arsenal'.

Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankly
'Have you heard of the north bank Highbury'
Shanks said 'No, I don't think so,
But I've heard of the Park Lane, Tottenham'.

The look on Mee's face when we sung it...
Some people get an MBE or OBE for their services to footie. Mee should have been given a stretch inside. Every so often, he could wangle a 48-hour parole and spend his weekends watching Spurs win at 'ome and lying in a big crisp bed with his big crisp old lady. You know it makes sense, Bert.

And swiftly followed by Old Bill dragging you out for bouncing, and throwing you down the stairs at the back of The Shelf. :banghead:

Mentioning the Shelf has brought a tear to my eye. Or was it some Chelsea player's finger being where it shouldn't be?

I love Everywhere we goooooo

But it seems to have taken a back seat

Would like to hear McNamaras band sung as well.

Oh the whistle goes, the cockerel crows and now we're in the game,
It's up to you, you lillywhites to play the Tottenham way.
There's many teams from many towns and some are great and small,
But the famous Tottenham Hotspur is the most famous of them all.

lalalalalalalalalala, lalalalalalalalalaaaaalalalalalalalala
We should sing that song so much more

I've tried to explain The Shelf to my lads, who are now 19 and 16. It just doesn't resonate. The all-seated generation. I pity them.

I miss the old days when there was a much bigger police presence in the ground. When they used to march out from the police room along the front of the Park lane, we had a stream of songs dedicated to them, favourite being the Laurel and Hardy theme as they went past

Bumping this to ask why Kyle Walker still doesn't have a song. He loves the club and he must wonder why Hugo's, Jan's, Dier's, Dele's, Eriksen's, Dembele's, Kane's, Lamela's, Rose's and Poch's names gets sung at every game and not his.

Show him some respect!

Also, I've heard the old Zokora song used for Toby a few times, would be good if this caught on permanently.

They're turning Highbury into a public lavatory, They're turning Highbury into a public lavatory,They're turning Highbury into a public lavatory and we all pissed up the wall, sideways! Who's that team they call the Arsenal, who's that team they all adore? They're the girls in red and white and they are a load of shite and Terry Neill's mother is a whore!*

*never much liked that last line but we used to sing it anyway.
