Bill Nicholson played a major role in Tottenham's title winning 1950/51 season as a player, and masterminded the side as manager to the same honour ten years later.
It's a nice article, if it has to be a little superficial, so thanks for posting it. One thing concerns me though: in a list of the 50 greatest ever managers, how the fuck is he only number 47?
Great article for the uneducated of our history in the 60s-70s.
I am lucky enough to have supported the club since the mid 50's and enjoyed our glory years live and it brought back some memories from that era.
Because its not real football if its before the premier league is it. A fair assessment would probably be 8-10th.
Ferguson, Clough, Chapman, Shankly, Wenger, Busby, Paisley, Nicholson, Robson, George Ramsay (who? ) , Will McGregor (Honorary mention).
Thats my top 10 +1 not in any order. Maybe i forgot Tim Sherwood, or someone else but thats not bad off the top of the head.
