Hello

Upon watching a recent Chris Cowlin stadium update, I noticed a comment from someone regarding that there is no statue of Bill Nicholson for the new stadium (as far as I am aware also).

In conclusion, I wanted to create a petition to push for this.

https://www.gopetition.com/petitions/bill-nicholson-statue.html

I hope that with enough signatures I/we can present this to Daniel and Co, to make this happen.

It would be great if everyone shared this about and we worked together to achieve this!

The Goat has it on very good authority that "we recognise legacy of Bill Nicholson at our new home is still very much on our radar and we shall update fans in due course as to our plans"

They could have a Christian Gross one in the khazis...hang your manky hand towels on him waving his tube ticket in the air. Or maybe that waving hand with ticket can be a toilet roll holder.

Or another one in the khazis...AVB squatting...in case you're a bit bunged up and you need some inspiration and the style in how do produce it in.

Or perhaps even a Tim Sherwood in a gilet bidet.

The gates were removed with the intention of recreating that photo with a statue weren't they? I remember them being carefully taken down and packed away anyway...

I hope we don't get a dog's dinner of a statue like so many recently deployed outside stadiums.
The club needs to choose the right sculptor who will do Sir Bill justice, James Butler R.A. would be my choice

The goat is partially correct but the statue is not an option

Please see the reply from the club below. I have stated to them I started a petition

Considering all of the little touches that were thought of to make the place feel like home (reusing bricks to build bars, rubble in the floor, centre spot plaque etc) I can't help but find it disappointing that what was an incredible gesture (Statue and gates being combined) has now been forgotten and basically Sir Bill will just be part of the museum, which let's face it is just another income source.
