From drumana on FTL:
good mate of mine is friends with lee barnard, and apparently huddlestone has been told to lose 2 stone as ramos sees him more of a centre half. hudd said he has never been that slim in his life and is gonna struggle to lost it. also hes been singled out for some reason the most at moment and looks like he could be on his way to blackburn come january.

From lennon4 england on COYS:-
Was at the spurs team hotel and from talkin to people at spurs, i was told ramos thinks that he is the most talented and techniquely gifted player at the club and as soon as he gets fitter and more moble (if he does) he will be straight back in the team

more ITK added:

archie from SpursOd says:
Nothing really new but the squad are 100kg over weight and have all had their diets changed.

Hudd was told to lose 1 stone before he got another chance

:shrug::shrug:

And herein lies many problems with ITKs.

If you read those carefully, you'll see they are far from mutually exclusive statements. Its down to the readers interpretation rather than the ITK themselves.

Personally, I surmise that Huddlestone has been told that he needs to be more mobile to fit in with the workhorse central midfield Ramos wants. I choose to not believe the 2 stone figure. At best this is something huddlestone himself has misinterpreted. No-one in their right minds would give a precise amount of weight to lose.

I can fully believe that Hudd is worried about losing the weight. And indeed that he has never been that size. However, it is up to other clubs to come in for him. I doubt any have just now (except possibly a tentative enquiry from Derby).

L4E will have spoken to people, but I'm wondering if he misplaced the words 'one of' just prior to 'the most talented and techniquely (sic) gifted players at the club. Ramos doesn't strike me as the sort to make rash judgements, much less pass them out amongst the players. It is also fully understandable that if Hudd gets fully fit and mobile then of course he will be back into the side.

Nothing actually contradictory in there at all.

I'm just wondering if Hudd was near the front of the queue for his 'personal appriasal', and that over the next 2-3 weeks, we'll be drip-fed ITK on each individual members of our squad...I do hope so.

Well I'm going to read the one I like as gospel and the one I don't agree with as utter bollox.

I really hope this 'personal appraisal' stuff isn't true; it sounds horribly like the bollocks my missus is having to put up with in the wonderful world of teaching as seen by New 'Labour'.

Question: How do you see your career developing?

Answer: Well, I'm hoping United or Barca will put in a bid soon.

Those 'ITK' statements aren't mutually exclusive, but the ITKs have put an interpretation on their info. JR has done his homework on the First XI regulars (I'd be truly horrified if he hadn't) and identified strengths and weaknesses. If us lot have the Hud nailed down as potentially our best midfielder, but a bit of a chunkster with the turning circle of a small oil tanker, bet your bippy JR has sussed this out.

The funniest thing is, the players that were derided as Jol 'favourites' are quite likely going to be Ramos 'favourites' too. Mainly, because they're the best we have.

And, given that you've posted the new stadium sketches when it was crashingly obvious that there was a very good reason they were going by PM, you need to increase your brainpower.

They were going by email because they are pdf format. You need to improve your internet etiquette because for some one of your age you are very immature and rude.

Hm...I have always seen thudd as a leader, a midfield target man. He could be the next big thing and I don't agree with Ramos that he have to drop some pounds.. If he's gonna be a good dm he need the extra.

if its true and Ramos can get Hudd's fitness up, THEN we would have a hell of a player on our hands. (I still remember Fabregas running rings around him and Zoko.)

Excellent.

Making him lose weight will change his skeletal structure and make him less broad and shrink 3/4 inches.

All our problems are solved ... with this miraculous way of changing body shape. Wooo .

Excuse the sarcasm. No actually, don't.

Obviously Hudds needs to become more mobile, I think that is true, and I can see that Ramos will give him a chance to do that because his other talents are so impressive that he doesnt need to be the fittest player, just needs to reach a good level.

I think Tommy's problem might be that when he tries to get fit he hits the weights rather than doing aerobic exercises like running/swimming/etc. He is never going to be the thinest lad but he needs to get leaner (and meaner), and I do think that he has improved a little since the start of the season. However I'm worried that when he doesnt play games he doesnt improve his fitness.

I hope he becomes the player he can be, and Ramos gives him a chance to do that.

No they weren't, if you'd read the Stadium thread you'd have realised they were going by email for the simple reason that we wanted to protect the construction firm employee who originally sent them.

He took a risk emailing them to his friend, his friend took a risk emailing them to us and we needed to respect that. Fingers crossed no harm will come of it, but honestly did you think you were the only person capable of converting a PDF format??

Junglist Massive. Wicked. Wicked. Incredible.

Exactly, sloth. And to not drag this site into any difficulties with the club.

[by the way the first line was a reference to General Levy ... Jungle at it's best ]

Putting to one side visions of the Hud with his mouth clamped shut, being intravenously fed fat-free protein shakes, whilst furiously peddling on an exercise bike which he is chained to.... for two months... EekEekEek

...the most interesting aspect of the ITK is the claim that Ramos sees him as a CB.

Ramos' Sevilla CBs were aggressive, no nonsense, defenders - think Javi Navarro, probably the one guy in that team tougher than Poulsen. Whereas presumably the point of playing the Hud at the back would be to give him more time on the ball to pick passes (which was why Burley played him there for Derby). But EPL CBs are often closed down pretty quickly - far more quickly than in La Liga - so the Hud wouldn't have that much more time than in CM.

The ITK is interesting though, and it reminds me of Jol's hyperbolic comment about young Tommy, along the lines of: "if we played with sweepers, the Hud would be the best player in the world." NB that's a rough paraphrase - I can't find the exact quote.
