Back to league duties on Sunday as we entertain and hopefully gub the Spammers at WHL. Here's how it's shaping up....

Team News

Us: No doubt we will be counting the wounded from Thursday. Tops to be out must be King and Jenas. Bale can now walk without crutches. Ekotto still out with a knee injury. Alan Hutton is allowed to play for us - hurrah!

Them: Spam currently top the physioroom injury table. It lists 9 out: Gabbidon, Etherington, Bowyer, Bellamy, Davenport, Quashie, Collins, Parker and Dyer. Etheringtom and Bowyer have expected return dates of Sunday 9 March.

Form/Runes

We go into the Spam game on a run of LWDDWL, just 8 points from a possible 18 from the previous 6 games. This is mid-table form, which reflects exactly where we are. Our last 6 at home are DWWWWL, with the Birmingham loss and Man U draw sandwiching four wins against Man City, Fulham, Reading and Sunderland.

Spam last 6 in the Prem are LLWDLW which is worse than ours, with away form of LWLDLW, stretching back to an away win at Boro last December. The other win was the controversial Solano winner at Fulham, where he kicked the ball out of the goalie's hands and elbowed it into the net. Who said it was just the big clubs that get the dodgy decisions?

Our record at WHL in this fixture is 27 wins, 14 losses and 14 draws. In the Prem only we've won 6, lost 3 and drawn 3. Last season, Davids crossed from the left for Mido to drive a low shot into the far corner. Seems like a long time ago now.

Adjudication

It's the Old Man Of Foy, Chris of that ilk, in the middle on Sunday. 15 games this season have seen him produce 50 yellows and 1 red, but that was in a reserve game. He reffed our 4-0 win over Derby in August. He's seen a few high-scoring games this season, including three 3-1s, two 4-1s and Toon 1 Man U 5.

Predictions

Lawro: West Ham go into this game on the back off heavy defeats to Chelsea and Liverpool. They should be pushing for a Uefa Cup place but their season is coming to a grinding halt. This will be a tough fixture for the Hammers against a team who play attacking football. Verdict: 2-1.

This Week's Guest Predictor: God. Yea though they play near the Valley of Charlton, we shall fear no ill. It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for Zokora to score. And I so love Tottenham that I gave them my only Berbatov. And he shall finally get his act together and be unplayably good. And about fricking time. 3-0 Spurs.

Stats & Facts

TOTTENHAM have by and large been crap since the Carling Cup victory.

THE SPAMMERS has proved to be a retirement home for old Spurs players, with Sheringham, Etherington, Tarriccio, Rebrov, Davenport, Zamora all taking the step down.

TOTTENHAM bought MICHAEL CARRICK from West Ham for £3m and sold him to Man u for £18.6m. Result!

JOHN MOTSON is hoping that LENNON and McCARTNEY will be on opposing sides again. He really is that desperate for material.

WEST HAM escaped unscathed when the FA threw the book at them last season, because like the FA, the book had no spine.

DIDIER ZOKORA remains one goal short of his first goal for Tottenham.

Come.On.You.Spurs!

In the last match, McCartney had a really good game against our right winger. Hope the wee lad can do a better job today.

Nice post BOF.

I haven't been that impressed with Lennon this season overall, so would like to see Taarabt start in his place. Hutton and Gilberto should also start with Daws and Woody in defence.

Steed on the left, Taarabt on the right, Zokora and the slow, but hopefully good passing Hudds in the middle. And the obvious Berbs and Keane up front.

I think that this is our strongest available team, as we shouldn't underestimate the will of the depleted, but feisty Spam.

COYS!!!

Lennon Zokora Huddlestone O'hara

More changes and not just injury-induced. Someone remember this in case it proves to be right!

Some 'proper' stats:

We have conceded more headers than any other PL team (13).

We have conceded more goals from corners than any other PL team (10).

We have scored in the 90th minute in 3 of our last 5 PL games.

DIDIER ZOKORA remains one goal short of his first goal for Tottenham.

And, as you used to say BOF, he still can't hit a cow's arse with a banjo!

I remember yelling at the TV on Thurs night when he got close to their goal, "FFS don't pass it to Zokora!!!"
