Dawson is just not a premier league standard defender in my opinion, well certainly not a top 6 calibure defender (regardless of the part he has played in us finsihing top 5 previously)

I dont think its a matter of players bottling the big games, if that was the case we certainly would never have won the Carling cup last year.

Basically you have to remember that Middlesbourgh away is a tough fixture, both Man U and Arsenal have come unstuck up there on a fairly frequent basis.

We has have a very new squad (how many of the players have been together for more the a year or two?) they will take time to gel. Also currently we have lightweight and have no real leaders or 'winners' (ball winners or players to look to when the chips are down)
Without such players away games are going to continueto be very tough for us.

Lets not get too gloomy, its one game and hopefully we will see the kind of responce we need against Sunderland (along with a couple more key signings)
