I don't think physique means much when it comes to fighting. Being 3 stone heavier does though. How is this a sanctioned fight (what am I missing)?

There is a a minimum weight to be considered a heavyweight so aslong as you exceed that weight (200lbs) then you can fight anybody upwards of 200 as there is no limit...gone are the days when 5’10 190lb fighters can dominate the division...many of the modern heavyweights are really super heavyweight giants.

Thanks for the explanation. I guess I am used to mma divisions (where everyone cheats any way). Till fights at about 200 and is a welterweight. My compass is skewed.

It still seems odd though, doesn't sit right.

Fighting in the crowd is better than what's going on in the ring.

Yep, says it all really. Rubbish fight, luckily I have the latest UFC Ultimate Figthter downloaded so am gonna watch that instead!

The thing with some boxing events is that after some of the knuckle heads there have had a few drinks they all think they're professional boxers too.

TBF i wouldnt want to be punched by Fury even once lol, he moved up from a lower weight class as well. Was always going to be a walk in the park for Fury never going to be a great fight to watch.

He looked like some tall fat bloke that won a raffle to fight a boxing match. Shocking state of fitness.

Had more blubber round his belly than a fucking blue whale...circus act?
You could have pulled the marquiss of Queensbury himself out of his grave and he'd have put up a better fight.
Frank Warren should be ashamed of promoting such bollocks.

That Sefer guy is literally in love with Fury. They definitely just found the first guy with a decent record that would lie down and die for a payout. Pathetic.

Crawford looked good last night - glad that fraud Horn got a pasting after robbing Manny.

Not sure why everyone is so down on Fury's comeback.

It was his first fight in almost 3 years, almost any boxer would fight a bum in those circumstances.

Fury will aim for top guys within the next year. This is an exciting time for the heavyweight division. Joshua, Wilder and Fury are all flawed but capable of exciting fights.

Add Parker, Whyte and Povetkin and there are some good fights coming.

Because it was an absolute farce? At least fight somebody that isn’t so in love with him that he’ll throw a punch.

Journeymen don't put up much resistance. They fight because they get paid but don;'t have the skills of a top fighter.

Once again, almost every boxer in history having his first fight after a long layoff fights a bum/journeyman.

The drawer to last night's fight was seeing fury back. Seeing what shape he was in and how sharp he was.

Anyone watching that fight for a real contest is frankly a fool.
