Wilder showed real heart out there - took all that Ortiz could throw at him and still standing was impressive.

Not sure how all three judges scored Wilder ahead by one - once again you question exactly how they merit the scoring but thankfully they weren't needed to judge this outcome.

A potential AJ-Wilder fight would be absolutely fascinating and with Wilder's unpredictability in the ring it would be supremely hard one to call.

In any case, A rejuvenated and fit Fury would likely beat both IMO but obviously that's a massive IF at this stage.

Have only seen highlights of the Wilder fight so not a full view.

But one question of Wilder has been the quality of opposition he has faced and as a result has never had to dig deep.

Last night he dug deep and won. Really looking forward to Wilder vs Joshua. Both good punchers but also flawed.

The delay between the 7th and 8th round was fucking dodgy, though.

Don’t see Fury ever getting back to fitness. He’s massive now ffs.

I think Wilder is a lot more flawed, he has had twice as many fights AJ as had. I think by the time AJ gets to 40 fight he will be a lot more polished.

He's been training hard and looking a damn sight better than he was a few months back but ultimately until we actually see him in a competitive bout again we can only speculate if we'll see the Fury (vs. Klitschko) level again.

The change of trainer, lay off, mental issues and obvious lack of desire means we will not be seeing the best of Fury ever again imo, if any version at all.

In terms of actual entertainment in the ring though, Fury would make for the least exciting opponent out of the potential series of fights between all 3 ( well, 4. Parker needs to be considered as it stands ) He’s ultra negative.

I favour Joshua to knock Wilder out. Wilder definitely has a chance though.

Fair play to Wilder. Haven’t seen him rocked liked that and he came through it (though Otiz should have finished him that following round as Wilders legs were still gone)

Shades of the AJ/Klitchsko fight. Don’t think he can handle Joshua’s power, though. If he lands the same kind of shots that Otiz landed then it’s night night.

Well he has tested positive clenbuterol which they are blaming on contaminated meat. A Wada lab have confirmed the levels in his system are similar to what you would expect from eating contaminated meat.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/43296154

For context, during the 2010 Tour de France Alberto Contador tested positive for clenbuterol and blamed it on contaminated meat. He was subsequently stripped of the title and banned for a year.

"In 2008 and 2009, only one animal sample came back positive for clenbuterol out of 83,203 animal samples tested by EU member nations. Out of 19,431 animal tests in Spain over the same period, there were no samples that came back positive for clenbuterol."

Traces of clenbuterol being found in meat is very rare, so it's a huge coincidence that so many of them seem to be affecting professional athletes. If Alvarez is using that excuse it's therefore highly likely he has something to hide.

Lots of cheap joshua tickets left. Can you actually see anything from the back of the stand?

I'm in Cwmbran next weekend and was seriously considering the short trip to Cardiff with my missus' uncle. Probably end up watching it down the local to be honest. Excited nonetheless.

Can only imagine what AJ would do to Browne. A pure plodder, he had no business mixing it at that level. Zero skill, just a big punch. That will only get you so far up the ladder.

Browne very unimpressive but this will surely help Whyte's cause of getting a big fight with Wilder

I do like Whyte, his fight with Chisora was a great fight. Wilder will have a tough fight on his hands.
