Yep, it's started - Wilder's face as he turns around to see Fury getting to his feet is already trading in the meme stock market...

Boxing just does itself no favours great fight, terrible decision. At least the rematch will see I guess. Fury camp should be furious.

It's nice watching the US forums right now, Fury's got himself a shit ton of new fans now that he didn't have a couple of hours ago;

Tyson Fury has a new fan in me, that man is a nutcase

- Lmao how do you get knocked down that hard and then put your hands behind your back, Fury is wild.

- then fucking stick your tongue out at a dude whos fist is like a goddamn shotgun...fury has balls of steel bro

You know when a videogame glitches and someone gets straight back up after youve killed them? That was Fury. He was gone on the canvas for 5 seconds, but then Jesus pressed the reset button.

The fucking minerals on him. Fuck the bought and corrupt scoring, Fury is the fucking champion tonight

COACH! WHAT DO I DO, COACH? I CAN'T HIT HIM ANY HARDER!!

These are all nailed to the mast Wilder fans comments from three forums, had me proper chuckling

"Jesus took three days to return from the dead, Fury did it in ten seconds" :D Regardless of the result, loving the way this fight is being received, going to have another watch of it later on.

And this is why I don’t stay up
For fights anymore. The incredulity I have felt at 7 in the morning after another shitty decision just got too much. Feel for Fury. But until they find a better way to
Score boxing it will always been open to betting syndicate scammers. The only true result is a stoppage. And even then it can be fixed. Sad times.

Be amazed if it’s written in the contract. The only cert for a rematch would have been a Fury win.

They’ll do it again though. Surely!

Had Fury winning of course but the knockdowns plus a couple of each way early rounds does make it closer than what most people are saying.
The judge who scored it that wide for Wilder needs to be investigated immediately.

Delighted for Fury though. This’ll end up the best thing for him. The public will finallly get behind him

What early rounds. Its was a whitewash.

Even if you (generously IMO) gave Wilder 2 other rounds outside of the 2 knockdown rounds that would still be 114-112 Fury.

That Mexican card is an absolute disgrace tbh.

I’m talking from a judges perspective. I didn’t say Wilder won them, for example the first was a bit of a feeler and difficult to score. I thought Fury won absolutely

It’s as bad a card as you’ll see.

Had the fight been scored 100% correctly, there would have been a rematch anyway. Fury hasn’t suffered a defeat, he’ll get the public behind him because of the robbery and the rematch is going to make him more money. Also, it gives him a bit more time to sharpen up and seal the deal next time round. It’s not the worst result for Fury

It's like groundhog day in boxing these days, shit decision after shit decision.

Fuck paying for it tbh.

At least those people who questioned Fury's chin (myself included) got to see they were wrong.

That’ll help the Olympic committee reconsider putting boxing in the Tokyo Olympics. What a farce.

Wilder showed what he is really. Average at best.

Hopefully the rematch happens and Fury who is sharper and fitter does the job properly.

Maybe we then finally get to see AJ v Fury?

I'm not remotely surprised - first big heavyweight contest in the US for years and years - of course they would go back to their old ways of corrupt judging. It's like people forgot they used to do it all the time back when they actually had any heavyweights worth talking about.

They've not had a successful big man for years and last night's result was just as much about spite and bitterness as it was about boxing.
