Red Bull Leipzig is not longer interested according to a local journo. I was convinced that he will join them.

That must have seen his cameo in the Euros and said, 'ang on a minute...'ow much???'.

Didn't do himself any favours.

Would still take him, of course, but his fee is jut gonna be ludicrous.

watch him play and the biggest issue I see is lack of movement and seems to lack upper body strength.... I only watch the 1st half against France when he played as lone striker. He is not worth what Basel is asking for

I've seen a fair bit of him and one thing he definitely doesn't lack is upper body strength. In fact, he's probably the strongest player I've ever seen at his age, it's inhuman at times. He didn't play well in the last game, after looking excellent in his initial cameo, but my opinion is he's actually much better as a wide forward rather than a striker. Even in this tournament he muscled players off the ball when standing about a foot behind them and reaching, he's just so strong. He also has extreme pace, and regularly catches players on the ball when you think he has no chance. His workrate when I've seen him previously is like Rooney's, chasing players back to the halfway line and winning possession.

He's very inventive, does have great technique and sees the game (excellent pass in his first cameo) but a bit raw imo, in part due to directness, which I think was the problem the other day. You can never tell which way players will go. Loftus Cheek/Rooney when young are probably the only players with that kind of strength, that spring to mind.

Must be honest the only games I've ever seen the lad play has been during these euros, where he has looked nothing short of a donkey.

Probably being unfair on the kid though so I'll reserve judgement for now.

seems a number of clubs are losing interest due to high asking price and poor Euro performance

Di Marzio saying Schalke now. I think we should take a punt on this kid. He does look incredibly raw for the asking price, however Martial looked over priced this time last year too.

I'd happily take Janssen and Embolo over Bats.

£50-55m for Embolo, Janssen and Wanyama would be fantastic IMHO.

What are you?! Let Schalke have him. Seriously over hyped kid. Jansen is not upto scratch aside from a decent shot on him.

It's not like Batshuayi is Didier Drogba in his prime either (I do like him a lot though). Every striker we are in for is a punt.
