He is big, powerful but incredibly raw - the potential is there for all to see but are we the sort of club that can afford to spend megabucks on a player so raw? I doubt it. He could be an absolute beast in a few years having said that.

Must be honest the only games I've ever seen the lad play has been during these euros, where he has looked nothing short of a donkey.

Probably being unfair on the kid though so I'll reserve judgement for now.

I doubt anybody would bid much for Harry Kane based on what he's done at the Euros. It's not ideal basing suitability on international performance when most of the time the players in question are playing differently to what they are used to week in week out. I'd love him at Spurs.

Unproven beast? Would like him but an awful lot of money. After Bobby, you can't blame Levy for being wary.

Sane's not used by them as a striker though
I am aware. However, neither is Embolo at Basel - most frequently on the wing (right, like Sane) and in the support role. Hence my point about replacement. Was seeing reports of ManCity interest but @Sweech has set me straight on this.

I still think Sane to City could very much be a thing.

I'm just saying Embolo to Schalke doesn't automatically mean that Sane is off though.

So you initially misled me then? Damn Canucks, can't trust 'em - maple-swilling, hockey-playing, apology jockeys the lot of 'em.*

Disappointing, he was my favourite forward target for us this summer, but I'm not across the up and coming players these days. Schalke is a good fit for him, though I don't understand why we couldn't have offered him a starting spot on the wing.

Lot of money for him. Too much in my opinion. No doubting he has plenty of promise but from what i saw of him during the Euro's looked very raw still.
Well it would have been £19m before the referendum. :p

We didn't even make it onto Schalke's Twitter video.
Didn't they know we had 14 pages of discussion about this (im)possible transfer???

From the little I have seen of him he is probably 2 or 3 years away from being a proper player as he needs a lot of development. No doubt he has a lot of potential though.
