Now rearranged for Tuesday 17th. Slap bang in middle of city and united semi. Seems bonkers when united have a clear week. Why put yourselves at a disadvantage. Not even sure if on TV.

Actually United play Bournemouth on the Wednesday. Wasn’t on flashscore. So we actually have extra 24 hrs lol. Genius by the club.

Clubs wouldn’t really have a say. The league would’ve assigned the day to play.

I’m more interested in when they are rearranging the Newcastle home game for. Loads of Wembley evening games now, what with Man City and Watford scheduled for an evening KO.

Strong feeling Newcastle will be last week of season. No idea why they’d do that probably saving it for TV.

Still on tv Newcastle prob last wk of the season they usually cannot have PL games in European weeks so it narrows it down a bit

Yeah it'll be final midweek game I reckon like when we played Leicester last season.

They've said we'll find out when they do the May TV allocations in early April.

Seems strange when we have a free week now we’re out of the CL.

Still, Kane should be back by then and hopefully it will have a warmed up a bit ( although I’m not holding my breath - this weather is mental ).

Before this year there was a rule where you couldn't schedule domestic fixtures on top of UEFA games. That's been removed, but there seems to be a gentleman's agreement that we'll only do so if necessary because there's nowhere else the game fits. Where possible games will be moved to midweeks without any UEFA matches.

According to Newcastle fanzine The Mag...Prem Lge have said the spurs game will be one of the May broadcast selections for Sky. So will be on one of the last 2 weeks of the season. Newcastle poss safe by then the way they have started to play

Yeah usually one of the fixtures postponed for FA Cup is slotted in as the penultimate game.

Mirror saying the fixtures for that mid week are:-

Tues - Brighton vs Spurs (Sky Sports)
Weds - Bournemouth vs Man Utd (BT Sport)
Thurs - Burnley vs Chelsea (Sky Sports)

Yeah, well I think I'd rather they still had something to play for considering what happened last time they were already relegated.... :)

I hope the Newcastle game doesn't interfere with our week's preparation for the FA cup final.

It has to be played before the final match day where all the games kick off simultaneously. So we'll have a whole week to prepare for Southampton in the final.

I thought it had been quite well established that the TV companies don’t in fact have any pull on fixtures?
