Form: ------- Brighton LLLDL---------- Spurs WWWWL-------- (All Competitions)

Brighton won their last home league match against us, although it was in 1983 (2-1). In all competitions we have won each of our last three meetings with Brighton, scoring exactly twice each time.

We have won seven of our last 10 EPL games played on a Tuesday (W7 D1 L2). We are unbeaten in our last 34 EPL games against newly promoted opposition, winning the last 16 in a row. Only Chelsea have had a longer unbeaten run against promoted sides in the competition (63 between 2001 and 2011). Three of Brighton's four home defeats this season have been in games against "big six" opposition

Should we win this game , it will be the 12th different ground at which they have won an EPL game this season - more than in any other campaign in the EPL. We have won 33 points on the road in the EPL this season (W10 D3 L4), only Man City have earned more.

Since the start of 2014-15, Kane has scored 22 goals in 20 games against newly promoted sides. He has also scored a hatrick against one of them in each of the previous 3 seasons (Leicester in 2014-15, Bournemouth in 2015-16 and Hull in 2016-17.

Glen Murray hasn't scored in his last two home EPL games. He last went three without a goal at the Amex in the top flight in his first three appearances there this season.

Eriksen has scored five goals and provided three assists in his last six away games for us in all competitions.

We need to get the Man City performance and result out of our system get three points, although Brighton will make it hard for us as they will be playing for survival

I hope KWP starts but I doubt it. Rose is still injured and Davies has played many games, he needs to be rested especially as we have United on Saturday.

I agree, Davies really needs the rest. Additionally, this would be a good time to give either Vertonghen or Sanchez a rest and give Toby a run out. If Toby is actually fit and traveled with the team to Brighton this would be an excellent opportunity to give him some game time. I would also like to see Juan Foyth get a start at some point in the PL before the end of the season, especially once we lock up a Champions League spot.

Really looking forward to this one, I should be finishing my last uni final just ahead of KO. Hopefully this match will let me exercise all my regret, shame and self loathing that I have built up over the pass week and a half.

Long term or even mid term planning
often doesn't work out.
You could play your strongest available team
tonight and or Saturday
and lose both
One game at a time.
Concentrate on tonight
and let Semi take care of itself.
Top four is priority for me tonight.
Winning a cup becomes priority against Man.Utd.
You can be too clever by half
and I should know.

Strongest team with KWP and Aurier in for Davies and Trips.

I wouldn't necessarily call this a must win game, but if we don't win and Chelsea win their next game all of of a sudden gap is back to 4/5 points. We need to put top 4 to bed.

As you were, win tonight and then onto United on Saturday. Pointy end of things, let's keep it positive.

Chelsea go to Burnley who have won 5 in a row.

The one thing I know about this spurs side is that they don't like losing. And they don't linger too long on a loss. I am expecting a big performance. 3-0 spurs.

Yep...definately the same
Why isn't it?

Our run has come to an end just like Burnley's inevitably will. It's a stupid point to make to try and suggest Burnley will definitely get something against Chelsea.

I haven't suggested anything, I merely made a statement to follow up your post and for some wierd reason you got defensive.

And no your comparison is not the same when you compare the respective team's forms this year.
