4th is a brilliant season buddy ‘ all things considered’

yes, we would all be delighted with 4th and CL in our debut season at the new Stadium.

Thats why everyone is pissed off at the joke team put out tonight. We shouldnt be dicing with CL qualifications.

tonight I felt we gambled, and lost 2 points.

But I can tell the team has its sights on the cup semifinal. Win that match and our 2nd rate performance will be forgotten.

We won't. The problem is mentality. We think we're too good for lower table sides. Been a problem from the start of the season.
I agree that there is a pattern with some of these poor performances, as they have come before or after a big game.

For example after Dortmund we drew with Swansea at home. We beat Madrid and then had our worst run of the season. It's also likely that the players have one eye on the semi final.

But I think it's down to a lack of options in CM.
Without Dembele (or a fully fit Dembele) we lack drive and direction in midfield, and when Eriksen's levels drop we really struggle to engineer up top. This highlights our over reliance on these two to get machine going and our undeniable need to bring in two CMs who can offer the same and something different to ensure that we are covered for an entire season.

This ultimately is the issue with Dembele. We can't rely on him for back-to-back games, especially games of huge importance and certainly 3 important games in a week.

Sky is beyond a joke.

Sitting there listening to redknapp go on about how Aurier caught him literally as we watch a clip of izquerdo clip his own heels. Pisstake.

Please show me where I said it wasn't. We've been 'homeless' all season, but you're honestly deluded if you're not looking over our shoulder right now

Something has happened to that rhythm and momentum we had. It can happen but perhaps there is more to it.

Three very under par performances on the trot.

Can't afford another at the weekend now.

It's called the players thinking top four is secure and the season is over. The manager doesn't give a damn about the FA Cup so you can guarantee a fair few of the players don't either.

With the world cup coming up I can see a fair few players taking their foot off the gas and avoiding situations where they may pick up an injury.

Please don't give me that 'we were shit in the 90s' nonsense. Yes we were bad then, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't adapt to new standards the club has tried to set. If we want to be and maintain being a big club, we've got to think like one. A worrying amount of our fanbase still think like we're plucky outsiders, when really all things considered we're one of the best teams in the country as of late.
Even the best teams lose and draw the occasional game, some people seem to lose all perspective.

No, we weren't. It was a roughly even game, against a good team, away from home with a rotated side. That isn't shit. We aren't going to win every game or outperform every opponent. No club does that, not even Barcelona or Bayern Munich. I'm all for high expectations but criticising our team this much for an away draw isn't fair and doesn't help anyone.
I disagree, I'm positive if you had polled SC before this and asked who would be happy with a draw given our fight for 4th and our shit show against Man City id bet there would be just the happy clappers voting for a draw being good enough.
I expect Spurs to beat these teams thats the end of it as far as I'm concerned. It all boils down to what you expect i guess. I happen to think we are far better than a draw away to fucking Brighton and Hove Albion.

Like if every player did a bucket load of ket before the game, repeatedly shat themselves and gouged their eyes out, i'd be surprised if they would be able to repeat that complete shitshow!

We made £60M this year in CL money. We get less than £20M in Europa...

Really huge missed opportunity tonight.

Not to mention the prestige and commendations we recieved across the continent. Can only help us attract players and continue to build

Needlessly risked tonight. Sure we might have still been shit and not got 3 points but you have to give yourself the best chance.

Think there were to many changes to key players. Get top 4 first then play around with the squad. On to Saturday, COYFS.

It's always gonna be difficult with so many changes. If we start with our first 11 tonight we win. This one is on Poch I think.
And yet he'd be criticised far, far more if he'd played the first XI tonight, we'd won 2-0, and proceeded to look tired and lose the semi-final at the weekend. We're going to play 56 matches this year. Sometimes you have to rotate. It's the same for every club playing in the European competitions and sometimes it means you have an off day and put in a disappointing performance.

You can lose fighting, that's fine.
We just handed them a point at the expense of our 2. That's charity not football.

Anything less than 100%, and I'll basically switch off for the rest of the season and see what hilarity ensues in the summer....
Poch said things will be different this summer. He said we will have money to spend, and we will spend it before the season starts.

We were really really poor. Very slow in the midfield with the lethargic Wanyama really awful at moving the ball quickly to our forward players.

That performance, against a promoted side who have a back four that contains 2 30 something full backs was unacceptable considering the high standards we have set over the last two and 3/4 seasons.

It's absolutely fine to criticise. I don't know how anyone can see a positive in that game tonight. Maybe take the lilywhite goggles off

Looked like a lot of the players were saving themselves for the SF. They better put on an improved performance against United.
