Aurier was really bad. He always got himself into wrong side position of the ball. Eg. Penalty conceded today. Couple of ocassions vs Stoke. I believe KWP is a far better RB than him.

Sissoko Wanyama duo never works. It was proved at Southampton and Poch made the same mistake again. Nonetheless should never start Sissoko in the first place

Such a depressing performance. We were outfought by a team that wanted it more. Even Poch was not that bothered judging by the team he put out and the late substitutions. Lloris and Kane are out of form, Aurier and Davies atrocious, and Wanyama and Sissoko clueless. Why do we always make things so difficult?

They're two points ahead of us despite us not playing a home game all season.

Liverpool aren't all that.

We got 4 points off them this year - don't let one poor result colour the reality.
You can't not see the progress the've made. They have a realistic chance at the CL, whereas we're sweating the FA Cup.

How on earth you pick out Sissoko as the target for your venting I'll never know. He had one of the highest pass completions on the team. Or are you just lashing out at an easy target?
He is consistently one of the worst performers in the whole squad. I don't understand how anyone can defend him anymore, 2 seasons of no end product. Sure he may have completed a bunch of passes but how many were sideways or backwards and on top of that how many were a step behind a player moving forward? The stats don't mean everything here. He needs to stop playing.

I'm not saying others were better but he has to stop being picked.

The fullbacks are supposed to do that job.

But every single team knows that so set up to stop our full backs getting out. when did they every get in behind? When did we ever get in behind?

What's the harm in destroying their set up by changing ours once in a while? If you play exactly the same way in every game it gets pretty simple to counteract.

Everyone knows you jam up the middle against us and you've got a good chance of stopping us scoring, we have no width.

Chill guys. We needed to rest a few. The big game is on Saturday. I am sure we will still make top 4 and to win the FA cup too would be a great season for us.

It's called the players thinking top four is secure and the season is over. The manager doesn't give a damn about the FA Cup so you can guarantee a fair few of the players don't either.

With the world cup coming up I can see a fair few players taking their foot off the gas and avoiding situations where they may pick up an injury.
If he doesn't give a damn about the FA cup then why has he rotated and rested players tonight?

I don't think for one second the players think it's secure, they will remember our collapse in 2016. It's possible that they have one eye on the game on Saturday.

That midfield that started today is the problem for me. Neither Sissoko or Wanyama can dictate play, neither can drive the team on, and neither will ever inspire. We needed better against a team that is fighting to stay in the league. You need intelligent and quick-thinking players and when Eriksen is off form we suffer.

Dembele had about 20 minutes to alter the game, which he's never done as a sub before. He's always at his best when starting because he gets control of the game, which allows us to get our rhythm easier. But what do you do play Dembele tonight and leave him out of the semi??

Poch had to pick that team tonight because we can't afford any big injuries going into the semi. I'm sure we will raise our levels again.

We were really really poor. Very slow in the midfield with the lethargic Wanyama really awful at moving the ball quickly to our forward players.

That performance, against a promoted side who have a back four that contains 2 30 something full backs was unacceptable considering the high standards we have set over the last two and 3/4 seasons.

It's absolutely fine to criticise. I don't know how anyone can see a positive in that game tonight. Maybe take the lilywhite goggles off
We don't really have the squad to exploit those fall-backs though. Lucas Moura is the only player somewhat fitting the traditional winger mould we have, but he's new and probably not quite adapted to the team yet. Nonetheless we played him and I thought he did relatively well. We don't have a similar option on the left and I thought Bruno actually did very well for Brighton and certainly didn't seem to be lacking for speed or fitness regardless of his age.

I don't know who you're trying to impress but ffs mate sometimes you just gotta concede we were shit.
And how quick we are to turn on a team that has given us so much in the last two years.

These match day threads are poison. Behaviour
No, we weren't. It was a roughly even game, against a good team, away from home with a rotated side. That isn't shit. We aren't going to win every game or outperform every opponent. No club does that, not even Barcelona or Bayern Munich. I'm all for high expectations but criticising our team this much for an away draw isn't fair and doesn't help anyone.
There’s not much point being measured. People want to vent. Feel entitled to vent. It’s the way things are now.

Hopefully the negativity and poison doesn’t filter through to the club. We are supposed to be supporters.

4th is over

Far from it.

Chelsea still has to play Liverpool and at least one of them will drop points in that match.
Chelsea are still a poor side. They may have beaten Saints last weekend but that was only because
Saints are a crappier team at the moment.
Chelsea also still have away games against two teams in form - Burnley and Newcastle.

Once the SF is over (whatever the result), there would be no reason for us to hold back anymore in our remaining matches.

You watched much Chelsea?

They've bottled this season. I'm not worried about them one bit.
Not so sure, if they think they can put one over us. I am reckoning on them getting 75 points , so we need another 7. Looking at our remaining games , it would be disappointing if we didn't get those.

I always feel that if you have two players wide and attacking fullbacks too then you're stretching the game but with no one in the middle to exploit it. It seems to work well for City but they play a different system where the fullbacks play narrower and more like midfielders.
