That game felt like one of the matches where we capitulated in the Leicester title winning season. The wba game. I really hope it’s not and we can get the couple of wins we need.

And how quick we are to turn on a team that has given us so much in the last two years.

These match day threads are poison. Behaviour

There’s not much point being measured. People want to vent. Feel entitled to vent. It’s the way things are now.

Hopefully the negativity and poison doesn’t filter through to the club. We are supposed to be supporters.
The season we finished 3rd...

Should Chelsea win on Thursday...

4 Tottenham Hotspur 34 68
5 Chelsea FC 34 63
So if a completely out-of-sorts Chelsea beat the best team for form in the whole league, they'll be as many points behind as Arsenal were when we went on our worst one of results in recent years. And even then they'll be miles behind on goal difference, would be in poor form rather than 6 games unbeaten as Arsenal were, and we have no big sides in the run-in rather than Chelsea away that year. That is not a reason to panic.

If it's something we have to start emulating from Liverpool and City's setup it's pace up front and how to implement it. We played with both Son and Moura today, arguably pacey players with the ability to beat their man, but very few times did they actually go out wide and search for openings runs. In the second half Moura even reverted back and played even more through the middle. Salah, Mané, Sané, Jesus and the rest of them are constantly on the shoulders of the defence and by that making space for other players or space for through balls to themselves.

Yes, Brighton defended deep and that makes things harder but Liverpool and City manage to do this to park the bus teams so I don't see why we can't.

Yep

Think you can get away with making 2 or 3 changes, but 6 is taking the piss and was a large part of why we looked so disjointed, especially in attack.

Making lots of changes rarely ever works for us even when we play lower league teams.
Despite the draw tonight I still think it was the right call, the semi final is a huge match for us and takes priority

So suddenly Chelsea are Jaws, are they? Because apart from 20 minutes against Southampton they've looked more like [insert non threatening fictional fish here].

We’ve been here before though. Chelsea have a motivation problem, but if doing us over is on the cards then they find the desire from somewhere.

You watched much Chelsea?

They've bottled this season. I'm not worried about them one bit.

I agree I am more pissed off that we didn't level up on them scum sucking Mersey shit bags

(Yeah yeah I have a irrational case of hate for them and no I don't care that I have it )

If Chelsea catch us, I'm seriously going to think about giving all this shit up and become a monk!

There's only so many solutions crushing experiences I can endure.

At their place Liverpool put five past them and Chelsea four, only Arsenal and Spurs of the "top six" teams have failed to win at Brighton.

Still let's pay them all a gazillion more pounds because they "deserve it".

And our fans have an inferiority problem. Chelsea are mediocre at best, and will continue to drop points in the final five games as they have done all year.
