If, as rumours suggest and with Griezmann staying at AM, he ends up at the Mancs this summer it will be devestating tbh. Not because I don't love this team and manager, because I do, but I've only been following football, let alone Spurs, since about 2010, and he was a massive part and reason for that. Also the first Spurs shirt I bought as a kit wearing wanker teenager was a Bale shirt, which I still have so I'd hate to see him wearing red.
Christ, u sound like a bloke who can't get over his first bird dumping him.
Move on mate, she's shagging someone else!

Shocking that a Welsh footballer could play for more than 1 Premier League club in his career.

He'll go down as a legend for this club but we've long moved on now.

Clearly history validates his choice.
3 champions league medals since he signed for RM.
A league title.
A Copa del Rey.
Super cup and
a world club cup.
Not bad! Plus A sack load of dosh.
Not many players have that on a CV.
And if we're honest as a club we don't have 7 trophies in the last 40 years let alone 4.
So of course he was right to go at that time.
A proper Superstar.
But Yes I'd take him back. I'd drive to Madrid to get him or train for my pilots' license just in case he'd prefer the private jet.

Every team needs quality like Bale!

Although the press today is saying Bale wants more with Madrid and Real don't want to sell him. So let's find that young Alonso instead !?!
He isn't coming back though, we cant afford the transfer fee or his wages. Time to accept this and move on.

Never mind Bale go get Modric back! He was awesome, once again, yesterday; such a great footballer. The third goal epitomised everything great about Luca. With him and Bale though added to our squad we would win everything.

OK it will never happen and we move on

I think he is the best CM on the planet at the moment, I cannot think of anyone better.

Personally do not give one single fuck about the man. His choice to leave. Dead to me once they go.

Waddle, gaza, greaves, hoddle? Are they all dead to you too? Or do you remember the good times?

Of course I remember the good times, but I don't pine after him. I don't care what happens to him at other clubs. Sorry.

Fair enough i'm the same. Just thought that "they are dead to me" was a bit harsh.

I agree, world class is sometimes thrown about too much in football, but for me his truly world class, a genius of a footballer, makes the game look so easy.

I was distraught when Bale left, I thought he was THE club and up until 12 months ago, I would've loved to have him back and thought he would do so one day.

However, I've changed my mind for numerous reasons. I don't think he is the same player as before, seems to have too become muscley and possibly lost a bit of blistering pace and glide that he had with us. The biggest reasons though, is that he seems to have no affinity to the club. Doesn't seem to say much about our club, no tweets, no real affection etc. Nothing when we left WHL a few weeks back.

I didn't expect much but nothing at all seems a bit off. A bit of acknowledgment would've been nice or the odd supportive tweet/message. He is certainly no Harry Kane when it comes to having affection for our club.

Taxi for Maicon.
Forever remembered for the destruction of Inter alone.

As well as all the other games he gave so much enjoyment. So he moved to pastures new with one of the biggest clubs in football.

Nature of the beast surely, footballers moving. Enjoyed watching him develop whilst he was with us. No hard feelings from me.

Would I love him back...For sure, but common sense says that would be highly unlikely considering the financial package that would entail.

One of the best ever. He makes it all look so smooth and easy, but the things he does with his feet to make it all so perfect are just superhuman. He is a very, very special player.

I miss both of these guys a lot. Hold no grudges against either of them for wanting to go to a club like Madrid, and would happily take either of them back in the shirt given the opportunity.
