    BURNLEY 4 - 2 SPURS Bale, Modric
    Elliott, Cork, Paterson, Thompson

Spurs: Alnwick; Kaboul, Dawson, King, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Huddlestone, Modric, Bale; Crouch, Defoe.
Subs: Jimmy Walker, Bassong, Bentley, Jenas, Palacios, Gudjohnsen, Pavlyuchenko.

Harry Redknapp makes one enforced change from Wednesday night's win at City. Heurelho Gomes is out with his thigh injury so Ben Alnwick makes his first start of the season and his first start for us since United in the FA Cup back in January, 2009. That means Ledley King makes his third appearance in eight days and Aaron Lennon starts again. Jimmy Walker is our substitute goalkeeper.

    Burnley:

    Ref: Mike Dean

  1. TonyWant
    Full strength except for Alnwick
Surprised Harry didnt give Palacios and Bassong a run today - they both contributed hugely to this wonderful season
3 games for Ledley in 8 days will either make him or break him for a World Cup place
Lennon needs to perform if he is going to go to South africa

Does the fact that we are on ESPN mean that we wont be on Football First tonight?
  3. tcyrus
anyone got a live stream (no espn)
  4. vuzp
    2-0 modric
  5. dArtagnan
2-2, i think the off season has started early
  6. 2bearis2do
2-2. I think they found out the Ar4E were past the finishing post at half time. Looking very tired and jaded now.

    - Take King off, give him a rest.
    - Lose Crouch (We've gone back to pump up the ball to him)
    - Get Wilson on.

    Not that I'm too fussed!

2-3 to burnley, i think harry wants to remind us what spurs were like before he came

ah well, still a superb season! COME ON YOU SPURS
  8. dickieven
yes we are looking very tired but not surprised. Would be nice to end with a draw or win though. 15 mins to go. COYS
  9. Spurs1
yea come on give us a 3-3
  10. p0tat0head
I know we have had a very hard week, but it is really disappointing to see us not end the season on a high
  11. dominguezmonkey
Same old Spurs. This result has irrationally really pissed me off.
  12. dickieven
oh well. Roll on August. Have a good rest lads!!!

    Spineless 2nd half

    Well played Burnley

Exactly. Totally taken the gloss off this week (well almost) but the precise reason why i was hoping it wouldnt have gone to the last game of the season. Obviously saw the arse game at half time and gave up. Pretty unprofessional if so.

Typical spurs although not really sure how we lost that.

oh my god! yes it was a bad result but jesus....this why we get called fickle!! claiming we were world beaters wednesday.....by sunday were all slating the team again! ffs get behind the team instad of bashing them!

Couldn't give a shit to be honest. It's not a reflextion on the teams ability, saw the Arse scorline at half-time, nothing to gain. If we needed this game to secure 4th, we would have stuffed them. Has not taken away from midweek IMO. Of course a win would have been great. Didn't see the goals, but had gomez been there, would we have won?
  17. jolsnogross
No point reading too much into it, it's just disappointing. A top team that expects to win every game wouldn't tolerate this type of carry on. And frankly, Burnley have been fairly embarrassing this year so we've let ourselves down.

I think Harry must have told the players at half time that Ar---al were winning because in the 2nd half we took the foot of the pedal and crashed ! Not complaning too much because we did the business on Wednesday night. Well done for this season lads and all the best for the forthcoming Champions League campaign.
