Fair enough, I hope you're right, I'm only a little concerned as we have Chelsea then Arsenal and Dortmund and want some good rotation because we were running on empty when we played at the emirates but as you say 10 days off, I think it's smarter to not underestimate Burnley though and try and get a result early and make some subs.

This is the stage of the season where under Poch we hit peak fitness imo. We should be able to go like the clappers now until the end. Sadly i think so can Liverpool.

Fuck me what a top class squad we have, look at that bench, and no Dele, Dier, Trippier, Sanchez anywhere. Interesting to see which of Toby and Foyth is at RCB, I hope Toby, Foyths pace to mop up could be very useful.

Trippier’s exclusion in completely is interesting, I wonder if he’s not overly happy at out of the first choice?

Guys have had 10 days without a match. They get their match fitness back today and are ready for the run of 3 matches following.

Shouldn't be worried given our good record vs this lot, but i would have saved kane and rose for Chelsea. Worried kane will be rusty and their centre backs will swallow him up.

Also is sanchez injured? Would have thought their lumps up front would fancy going against foyth rather than big dave.

You know the bottler talk will ramp up if we don't win with a great chance to narrow the gap, let's see if we're genuinely ready to dine near the top table.

I would love it
love it
if we won the league
and/or the Champions' League.

And if we win today.
Think we will
but it might be closeish.
Say 2-0.

None of it will count
among the pundits though.
We don't play in red for a start.

The Clarets have not lost a Premier League game in which Heaton has played since August 2017.

:nailbiting:

Thats one of those classic false stats as he has hardly played since then due to injury. 11 games in total.

Edit: actually its 9.

Edit 2: ironically the first game of that 9 match unbeaten run was against us.

Back 3 hasn't work too well this season but I still feel both Alder and especially Vert thrive in a back 3 where there's a bit more license to move forward but they're not depended on to provide the width.

What I'm saying is, Vert is our best lb and cb and now we get best of both worlds.

i want to see an earlyish goal, maybe 15 minutes in. Something to settle us down, and make burnley come out and play.
