Wow! Thanks for the continued interest.
Callum is doing really well. Physically he's pretty much fixed. Playing football and competing for a disabled football team and loving it. Scoring goals!! And player of the month last month!
Vision problems are life long. Working through

Oops!

Working through cognitive and memory issue. But considering his initial prognosis, he's a miracle.

Doing 5 GCSE's in June. Hoping to study science at college next year!!!

NHS brilliant!

Family and friends amazing!

This forum - unbelievable! Thank you so much!

Fantastic news on how Callum has progressed, since his accident. I think that is due in part to @Callum's Mum and his family giving him the strength. Well done Callum on your recovery, and hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and prosperous New Year!!

My mum was extremely ill last yr. 50/50 in ICU. Have to admit, the docs, nurse and even the cleaning staff in my case were also just top notch. It was a huge help to see their professionalism and dedication and their kindness to me and my family. Still get a little emotional thinking about it.

I'm chuffed to bits to hear Callum is on the up. Massive hug to you and good luck to Callum on his studies. As a lowly biologist I can say that a career based in science is a very rewarding one and a pure science degree will set him up so well for any path he goes down after uni, scientific or otherwise.

Have a smashing Christmas.

All I can say is God bless Callum and everyone else close to him who've given him so much love and support in his hour of real need. The power of love is an amazing thing. He sounds like a real fighter and he only gets that through the love of his family and friends. God bless all of you, Callum is your own little miracle and always will be.

I quite agree, it makes one man weep, makes another man sing. Change a hawk, to a little white dove, more than a feeling that's the power of love. You don't need money, don't take fame, don't need no credit card to ride this train. It's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes but it might just save your life, that's the power of love.

There must be a tune in there somewhere, I'm sure of it.
