He has no future with us, he has too much competition the new contract is just to get a fee.
I think the contract is definitely to give us security but it's quite a bold claim to say he has no future at all with us!

We just got Foyth and Sanchez and he has Dier in front of him as well, he hasn't yet convinced Poch and I think he wil have to reach a very high standard to convince him. I don't see him doing that in a season. I always thought Wimmer was a good player but Poch thought he wasn't good enough.

This is a big year for him, no doubt.

At this stage, I expect both CCV and Onomah to be sold next summer. But, both could show they deserve another shot with strong years in the Championship. Up to the players now.

I also thought that Wimmer looked quality when he stepped in for Jan but obviously went wrong somewhere.

Sanchez and Foyth now have a chance to train and impress, we shall see if they do so.

I think the loan is a good move as it should get him game time and the chance to impress, all down to him but I'm not convinced that means he can't come back if he does so. He also may yet play for the US so again a chance to catch the eye.

I suspect not but it's not over for him yet.

How the heck did I manage to completely miss he'd gone out on loan lol!

Good move loaning out players, they need game-time now they'd had a season spent with our first team squad already training in their ways.

“He’s a unit, an absolute unit,” Wilder said. “In the football environment, somebody always knows somebody and they said watch him in training because he’s liable to leave one on you. I’m all for that, so long as he doesn’t leave one on me.”

Pochettino was very clear about these loans. He said he likes young players to spend a couple of seasons training with first team and trying to become a regular. If they do not he believes they should go out on loan for a year or two to show they can do it. Looks as though Onomah is doing the business so let's wait a few weeks and see if CCV can. Either way I don't think it represents the end of their Spurs careers.

CCV just scored for Sheff Utd. First shot blocked after a goalmouth scramble. Buried the rebound in the top corner.

A few comments from a Sheff Utd Forum

"Decent finish from CCV and nearly had a second. He's looked good on the ball, won some good headers but once or twice you could tell it was his first league start - he looks promising tho, think once he grows in confidence he'll start some trademark basham surges forward."

"As well as scoring CCV has won every header against the twat. Got a good touch and good pass. Still early but lots and lots of potential."
