Can anybody who booed Adebayor explain why they booed him?

I was confused as to WHY people booed him.

Can anyone who was at the game, or at the Sunderland game, who booed Ade, explain why they did it?

I don't particularly like him, and don't like to see him in the lineup, but still can't understand why he was booed. Would love to know why. NOT why you don't like him, but why you would boo him?

Good question.

Booing your own player when brought on or subbed, ridiculous.

I said good question, but there isnt an answer that will explain it sufficiently for me.

Unless someone on here can provide proof that Adebayor shagged said posters wife while playing with said posters mums' tits. Then them booing would be reasonable. I suppose.

Mental impediment?

People who boo their own players are morons IMO. As I've said many times, it is so fucking childish and to the detriment of our team. These people care more about having a whine than they do our club. They're as bad as him in my book.

I wasn't at the game but it should be fairly obvious, he barely touched the ball or chased anything (as always) and is just back from disappearing for 2 months while being our highest paid player and vice captain. Obviously people are going to be annoyed by him.

Edit: Let me add, I don't support booing players or management at the games. doesn't help anyone and should be a last ditch measure.

Did he get booed then?

The only booing I heard was from Sheff Utd fans after the "elbow" incident. I didn't see every bit of the game though

I can only think of one time i have ever booed a Spurs player, and i think we can all recall which "on form" player conjured that response from me.

I wasn't at the game today, and I wasn't too fussed about the booing for Adebayor. In all honesty, I can't see why their opinion to boo him is any less important than your opinion to disagree with it.

I actually agree with the booers, I think a senior player not pulling his weight and making comments like he did in the media this week about why he is playing for the club, is more detrimental to the team than any person voicing their opinion by booing.

You need to ask this question on the Sheff Utd forum and I guess the answer will be for his push in the face and yellow card incident

Ade was poor tonight, and shouldn't be near the first team. I hope MoPo isn't getting pressure from above to put him in the shop window.

Having said that, shouldn't boo your own players

Thought Ade was poor tonight, I don't get booing your own players though. A few in the shelf booed but it mainly came from Park Lane possibly mainly the away fans (optimistic I know)

I think some people go to a match and see it as a pantomime.

There was a shout of" its behind you" tonight as Walker stood about to remonstrate with a utd player oblivious that the ball was about 6 inches from his heel

When everyone shouted handball for the pen, did the away side shout "oh no he did't"?

:p

Adebayor was visibly fucked, not only do these people not understand the game but they are a bigger cancer to our club than he ever will be cos they, unfortunately will always be here.

Never been totally opposed people that boo a poor overall performance, but I've changed my tune. Singling one out, when we had at least 8 pathetic players tonight just shows that they hate the man regardless.

You'd think the fact he was still captain meant something, but the mentally retarded will still take the word of the mirror and Daily Fail.

They should all fuck off to Stratford FC.
